As a new member, you will only have limited features available until you have made 10 posts. After you have 10 posts, you will be able to send PM's to other members, post links, appear on the members list, etc. This is to block and identify spammers and troublemakers.

Your user "Rank" (the description displayed under your username) will progress and you contribute to the site with new posts. Here are the ranks:

New user - 0 to 9
Rookie Pip Officer - 10
Pip Officer - 50
Pip Detective - 100
Pip Sergeant - 200
Pip Lieutenant - 400
Pip Captain - 800
Pip Major - 1,600
Pip Commander - 2,000
Pip Assistant Commissioner - 3,000
Pip Deputy Commissioner - 5,000
Pip Commissioner - 7,500
