Looking for someone to change custom indicator into a simple EA

I am looking to find a programmer that could turn this indicator into an EA, that would open an order, close that one when the indicator reversed and then open an order in opposite direction, and on and on... as the manual suggests. There are pips to be had with each trade, if you can stomach any of the drawdowns. Ultimately, it would be for 1H charts, any pair. No s/l or t/p or trailing stop, just open and close on the buy and sell signals.

Using this indicator manually on demo accounts has proven good results. Some trades hang on longer and give better returns, and some close in a relatively short time with less profit (but still, there is profit). I just do not have the time to monitor the trades manually, 24/7, especially while I am at work during the day.

I would appreciate any programmer's experience (hey, the last time I programmed anything was in BASIC !!) with this, and would be willing to forward (live) test it and post results.

A couple of questions about the indicator .

Does it redraw? i.e. if you watch it real-time does it start to change direction then change it's mind and continue with the current direction?

How quickly can you determine the direction change? If you are using 1H bars does it wait until the bar close before changing direction. If so, there will be a 'delay' in closing one trade and opening another in which time the new trade may no longer be profitable and we've lost most of the profits on the existing one.

I can devote some limited time to this, but only if it doesn't suffer from the above issues. Check real-time and see what prices your trades would open/close at. If it looks profitable then let me know and I'll see if I can fit it in

No, it does not redraw, it is based on history. It does close at the top (or bottom) of an hourly bar. I feel like the small delay would be inconsequential. Essentially, you would be using the previous "buy" trend to predict the next one (or sell, if the case). I hope this helps a bit, gotta go to work now! Thanks for your efforts!

ps -- using the indicator , with manual trades on a demo account, I set the s/l to 20, a t/p at 100 and a trailing stop of 15. In one evening, on a $5000 demo, using 1.0 lots, I took in $1400 profit, and that was just fooling around. Take away the stops and take profits, and there would have been many more pips to be had!

OK, this is done. Not too impressed with the results though

The indicator is very laggy, by the time it's decided the current trend has reversed and drawn the old trend line, the price has moved on. Not a problem if the markets trend for a few hundred pips before reversing, but a bitch if it's less.

To use the EA, place FXS-EA.ex4 in the experts directory. Place SoftWyer-Lib.ex4 in the experts\libraries directory. You don't need the indicator on the chart, but it must be in the experts\indicators directory. You can add it to the chart to visually follow the action if you like.

The parameters are:

The parameters are defaulted for 5-digit brokers, you may want to change them. Money management will change the lot size used in the trade based upon the current equity. Set the TP and SL values high if you don't want them to be triggered. The FXS_... parameters are the same as the FXSuperProfit indicator .

Let me know if you find any bugs. I gave it a quick test and all seemed OK, no doubt there are some issues lurking in exceptional circumstances.

Well, BerryBlonde did say something about "stomaching" re: dd's, and quite right, buuuuut, it also got to 150% profit of initial account in ~3 months! So "not toooo shabby!" I use live$-data platform, so someone elses results may be different. First date was 1/23/09 'til now.

forgot to mention, I put TP & SL way out there at 700 so it would "do its thing" as suggested w/o those.
BTW, the testing is quite slow, must've taken 15 minutes at least, EA has to call-up couple of things external is why. I'm starting to run for say 8 hours the optmizations with SL /TP/Length brought-in and variable, even with that many hours I'll be lucky to see a hundred or couple hundred results due to ultra slow molasses , but may find a smattering of something interesting.

Agreed, not totally useless, but there is a long period in your graph where not much is happening Be nice if these were winning trades. Perhaps it needs the famous 'BatchBoy' optimisation. Mind you - it doesn't follow the 'scientific method' so is not repeatable in live.

If there is enough demand I might make the opening/closing of trades occur on the boundary of a 1 minute bar. That would make testing a bit quicker too.
