An EA qualifies to be tested on a live account if it has successfully run for 2+ months without major losses, such as dropping below it's starting balance or massive losing streaks of 25% or more of the account balance.
At that time,
and at my discretion, I may opt to start the EA on a live account.
The EA will use the same settings EXCEPT lot size will typically be smaller
Example:
0.1 lots on a demo account
0.001 lots or smaller on a live account - due to the starting balance being smaller.
The EA on a LIVE account will be listed in the Quick Stats with a BLUE title, such as this example:
1. Demark lines
$2,916 ($31/day, 94 days)
2. Zig and Zag <---- This EA is on a LIVE account
$1,453 ($22/day, 64 days)
3. RoboMiner
$760 ($44/day, 17 days)
The balance calculation for Live accounts is MODIFIED to correlate to a $5,000 account. Instead of showing $0.04 profits
in the Quick Stats only, you will see the account balance and profit x 100 which would make a $0.04 profit equal to $4.00.
Therefore, the Quick Stats balance will calculated like this: Current balance + profit/loss
* 100 $50 + 7.33 * 100 = 5733
Therefore, an EA on a LIVE account with a balance of
$57.33 will show in the
Quick Stats as having a balance of
$5,733.
This is done to help you compare activity to other demo EAs.
