Server downtime log - Pip Cop

This thread will be updated any time the server is down to help you determine performance of any EAs being tested.

In the event a specific testing machine is offline, it will be indicated by name (such as XP1 or SE1). To determine if a specific EA you are watching was affected, scroll down to the bottom of the first post, after the statement, and the name of the testing machine will be listed on the last line of the post, in italics.

Date - Start time - End time (EST time zone) - reason
2008/10/21 - 7:21AM - 11:35AM - server unexpectedly shut down
2008/10/21 - 2008/10/22 - ForexRobotTrader EA - MetaTrader locked up due to lack of memory. Memory increased.
2008/10/77 - Intermittent - statements and GIF's not always uploaded every cycle, so blank statements and/or GIFs (charts) occurred on and off, due to a new firewall and configuration issues.

2008/11/09 - 9:50PM - 10:05PM (approx) - Extended power outage, battery backup failed on Server 1. Testing terminals XP1 - XP8 shut down. All machines are currently coming back up and should be online within the next 15 minutes.

2008/11/15 - 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM (approx) - Each terminal had MT upgraded, both servers restarted. Each terminal will have experienced about 5-10 minutes of downtime.

Alpari Demo Server outage locked up several of the VPS machines, so server two was restarted. Server two hosts all VPS' with the "SE_" machine name. "XP_" machines were not affected.

2008/12/02 - Approx 10:00 EST to 11:15 EST - Server 1 locked up, restarted.

's XP1-XP9, SE12 and SE13

2008/12/8 - 7:30am to 8:30am - power outage
All servers offline for approximately 30-60 minutes.

2009/1/22 - Approx 9:30 PM EST to 10:00 PM EST - Failed hard drive, swapped out, no downtime but server will run slow for a while as it rebuilds the RAID array.

's XP1-XP9, and SE13

Today
11:30AM - 12:30PM - servers offline due to el-cheapo UPS failure. A new UPS has been purchased and installed. Servers are rebooting now and should return to full service shortly.
