This sounds like a good bargain to me. Too bad I bought a license last week.

As far as I remember the licenses are set to the MetaTrader account, are they transferrable?

They wouldn't be transferrrable I don't think, it would be more matter of Jerry de-activating my second account somehow and then generating an activation key to suit your account and he or I can send over the EA, to whoever would like to buy it that is.

Well I was wrong Jerry (the developer) will not transfer or assist in transferring a license, along with not answering any more questions about this EA I'd be surprised if sales don't start to drop off for him.

If an ea creator is REALLY successful he does not need ANY sales, he just needs to start the ea and count the money...

So you are stuck with GT-Shadow, maybe you will be better off keeping it after your problems are dealt with...

Being in the middle of the sale, I see both sides. I think he should offer more documentation and support, such as a support forum. I also have to point out that GT-Shadow is really designed for traders who are very experienced and enjoy tinkering. From what Jerry has told me, it's really up to the user to experiment and see what works best. He's mentioned that many users have come up with ways to trade that he and Bob never even imagined, and have far better results.

I also have to point out that transferring licenses puts him in a position where he can't really be sure if the original buyer is closing the account and such. If he had a DLL which tied into an activation server, then yes, he could control it. But that is not something he does, so he's at a disadvantage there.

I now warn GT-Shadow purchasers that support is mostly non-existent, but do link them to as many resources as I know of. Above and beyond that, most of the questions I have seen from GT-Shadow owners really are questions that they should be able to figure out with back- and forward-testing.

I think this was a learning experience for everyone, me as the reseller, and many GT-Shadow purchasers.

Default GT-Shadow Lifetime Updates

Do we still get monthly updates with the lifetime license? If so are they issued on a calender monthly basis?

When buying the license a week ago, I was given a notice that I will get an update by the end of May.

I'm not sure, so I emailed Jerry for clarification. I am pretty sure you get version updates. So if you're on 3.09 right now, and Jerry creates version 3.10, I am pretty sure he'll send it out to everyone.

You won't get monthly updates though. The monthly version of the robot is sent out like that because it has an expiration date at the end of the month, which allows him to lease it without worrying about it working forever.

Default Max Number of Trades

GT-Shadow desperately needs to be able to set maximum number of trades for MM.

The MM at present is meaningless unless you can control how many trades/orders are placed.

Another solution would be to have a 'timeout' feature, and no, not manually switching off.
