Has anyone had any luck with getting GT-Shadow to trade anything other than AUDNZD and EURCHF? For example AUDUSD or USDJPY.

No problem, I have it trading on both now.

Is GT-Shadow that much better than Robominer? Is it really worth the extra $200 ?

Ok, so it may have the potential to trade pairs other than audnzd + eurchf but which other ones are suitable for grid trading?

Surely if you're going to trade more than 2 pairs you'll need a very very large account.

I'm seriously considering buying either Miner or Shadow for use on a live account but would appreciate some advice here.

P.S whats this 'shadowing' business anyway

PPS. Keep up the good work PipCop!

The GT-Shadow has a lot more "advanced" settings, and really is aimed at more experienced traders. You can run it on two currencies at once and hedge against each other, change the grid settings, change the lot size settings, and so forth. If you're a new user, you would probably be better suited to the RoboMiner, and then after learning how to use it and becoming more advanced you may want to consider getting the GT-Shadow.

Basically, it's not designed for new users.

If you think you may need/will understand gt-shadow later on you can buy it now. It comes with a preset file "trade as robominer". This is more expensive ofcourse, but if you'd first buy robominer and later on buy gt-shadow you will have paid for 2 ea's.

Default Findings to Date

Thought I would just share findings on GT-Shadow.

After quite a bit of Strategy testing I decided to run with the best results of each on USDJPY, AUDUSD, GBPCHF and EURBGP.

The GBPCHF and EURGBP did not agree with the strategy settings and were selling at losses and did make what I considered to be good trades.

The USDJPY and AUDUSD have made what I considered to be 'sensible trades' albeit now with drawdown . The poisitive with the drawdown is they were long positions and the price will return to these prices so I will be holding.

I have switched off GBPCHF and EURGBP until I sort out what is going on. At first glance it appears at some stage the currencies lacked liquidity generating very wide spreads which GT-Shadow (or my strategy settings) did not compensate for.

Anyone else care to share their findings?

Default Trojan Virus Related to foex-goldmine link

Pipcop,

Can you please sort out the trojan virus related to a live link in GT-Shadow FAQs section?

It may be a trojan on their site server or may be a highjacked link of yours but most times I click on this link I have to capture and quarantine the trojan released.

The image attached is just the location of the live link here on the forum. You may need to change the admin settings to allow larger images to make future images clearer and ledgable.

That's an ongoing issue, actually. Several people have reported the issue, and I've been over it very thoroughly with Jerry at FOrex Goldmine, and there is no news as of yet.

The best solution I've found is to be sure I've updated my AV program definition files. :noes:
