You can adjust the GMT Offset to change when it trades. It simply adds time to the internal settings to delay the robots trading. | Do not use any other offset except 2, the user's guide is quite specific!
Normal scalping times are from 9pm GMT each night Monday to Thursday. Trading usually finishes by around 2am each morning although some open trades may last longer. |

| | Pip Chief of Police and Site Owner | Welcome to the site Mike, I am glad you like it.
Just a little tip: Back tests, even at 90% accuracy, will give results that are NOWHERE near live trading. You may as well through them out the window. The only accurate tests are done on live accounts with real money. If you want to test your strategy, throw the robot on a micro or nano account and run it that way, similar to what I am doing here on the site. Personally, I have found that demo accounts are probably only 95% accurate. That 5% can break you in days, as I have found in a few robots that have gone live and fail to perform well at all. |

| | Rookie Pip Officer | Thanks for the info. I have these settings on Alari demo acct. Started just on Thusday and Fap doesn't trade on Friday, so I will update results as they come in.
I do believe that if someone can find a EA that has a consistant profit in PIPS and using money management with a exponential increase in lots size based on available equity of your account, a person could in fact become very happy.
I had found one strategy which is not a EA but manual that in 18 trade days has overall pip balance of +585. Requires no indicators and uses a specific time frame with other setting based on the highs and lows.
I am in process of creating a EA for it as backtesting would be 100% accurate if the Data in the backtest is not corrupted and accurate.
There is no room for error as this test is based on actual high and lows and NOT on a indicator impression.
I will let you know when the EA is created and I test it.
I need to create this EA as in oder for me to manually input the parameters it requires me to get up at 3:30AM Pacific Time USA and it is making me real tired!!!
Thanks again!!!! I look forward to your excellent opinion!

| | Rookie Pip Officer | Alpari and Robots From what I see Alpari has the best Spreads which will in turn allow most robots to trade more. With FAP Turbo if the spread size is 5+ the robot will not trade. This is a big issue on the GBP/CHF which seems to always be a higher spread on every Broker .
I have tried a little more of a risky move and increased the "Maximum Spread Size", under the input section of FAP Turbo. I only increased it to the current spread size. I will see the results. This IS NOT RECOMMENDED by the developer.
The RoboMiner, as stated by the developer, will not work with a Broker that utilizes a "Dealer Desk" and will lose trades in the event. Alpari uses a automated bid placement process when using a demo and will work well with RoboMiner on demo, but uses a "Dealer Desk" as stated on their website on a live account and can take up to 5 to 15 seconds to actually place the bid!. Logically then....Alpari would not be a choice to use with RoboMiner except only on demo.
Some of these EA's are very promising. Although conservative as they are...they work well. Like Chinese water torture....drop by drop...or as this would be....pip by pip!!!
Huge thanks to PipCop and this great site where all of us can share our experience!

| I have Fap Turbo running on a demo with Alpari (UK). It seems to consistently win trades in the region of £9.00 to £25.00, then suddenly have a big loss (last night opened a buy at 22.58 GMT and lost £156.00). Does anyone else suffer from this incosistency? |

| double check Be carefull with the long term trades with FAP. Recently the results have been way off. Most people are recommending to scalp only untill the developers re-release an update or somone officially gives the word that the long term trading is fixed or working again. Word had been that some people were getting several, if not every long term trade closed for huge losses. Im not sure if anyone had an account blow up however, I did hear of 20% plus draw downs for a week or so. I did hear the guys at fapturboresults.com say they were going to start long term trades again this week (2-2) for there live test and they were increasing the risk for there pairs.
Anybody trading live with positive results from the long term trades?
Ill check the ftr site and around, this week, and see if its going well on the LT again. |

| I had FAP Turbo running on a live account for about a month before I dumped it. One of the main reasons I dumped it is because of it's inconsistency and the fact that when it loses, it usually loses big (50 pips or so). That combined with the broker issues made this EA unsuitable as far as I was concerned. My live account is with IBFX which I though was terrible with FAP Turbo after reading tons of complaints. I now realize that it is not so bad from being number 2 on the list as of right now.
I don't feel that bad about FAP Turbo. I made quite a pile in December when it was running hot. I made my money from this EA. I knew it would not last by observing how much of a winner it was when it was running hot. It was extremely curve-fitted and optimized for that existing market. When the market changed, it became a net loser.
I have recently put FAP Turbo back on a demo account testing the long-term strategy only. Weird this is that I set this up a week ago and so far, no trades at all.
