Sweet! the trick to comparing these guys is to start them all simultaneously. Already see some differences. really really cool. In a few weeks, not will we know whether to run FAPturbo but where as well.

That is good to know that the USDCAD pair performed poorly, thanks.

I went through ALL the currencies, and they ONLY had the USD/CAD pair! Maybe I did something wrong with the setup, so I will double check again, but they did have about 3 dozen other pairs.

Yeah, but in practice that's a little tricky. I think the reality is that if we compare daily balances that should be close enough.

I am thinking that I may add a few more brokerages (Gain, FXDD) as well. If that pans out, I am thinking I may restart a lot of the previous reviews with multi-brokers to see if the brokerages caused failures. Bad testing is bad testing, and I sure want to give members the BEST data possible, even if it means a little extra work.

I'm not sure if the eurusd long term would warrant being tested with more than one broker

as the they just about all use a 2 pip spread

and with the 140 pip profit exit and 500 pip stop I don't imagine a large difference like the scalper strategy shows. I have the scalper running on a LIVE FXDD and DEMO FXDD account, on the same computer, both have the same settings, and their trades are like two different EA's. Different number of trades with each pair, different entry points and exits.

Its a mystery!!!

Hi Pipcop I'm also testing this EA on demo Alpari UK. This broker

claims a 2 pip spread

on EURGBP. During night hours they increase spread

from 3 pips to 5 pips. Not amusing. Anyway, I'd like to know what settings you are using for FAP Turbo Scalping. If possible please post them here. I thought I had my settings right but I didnt get any EURGBP trade on alpari yesterday and today.

Mitaji, I am using all default settings. I just loaded the robot onto the chart, following the directions, and let it go. Pretty straight forward!

It is very nice to test fapturbo,one of the most profitable EAs i have ever found.
I have already 2 live accounts of fapturbo.

I would like to tell you that there is a big difference between live and demo accounts.
When you run it on a live account you have to deal also with much more offquote errors which can cause a great difference on P/L

.
There are also 2 factors that affect profitability of fapturbo.
The one is the spread

,and the other is the slippage

.Many brokers have different spreads on live and demo accounts.
Spread

must be low(0-4, 5 risky) in order to have a good chance of profitability.
So, regarding all of the above and also that many brokers have different spreads on live and demo accounts,and different number of offquote errors on live demo and demo too
you can't rely just on demo accounts.

It is known that we are on a financial crisis.We are facing extreme market conditions which can have a greater effect on profitability of EAs.
19-20 of January was the worst night of fapturbo and for many EAs.
This is not Eas' fault but because we are facing extreme market conditions due to the financial crisis.
Brokers have also increased spreads because of the financial crisis and the low liquidity

.

So, i think that no system will have success under these extreme conditions.
There is not a perfect EA.
You maybe have a profitable EA during normal market conditions,but during extreme market conditions everything is very fragile.
I watched some of the EAs you test here.
Check that 19/1-21/1 almost all EAs had great losses due to these extreme market conditions.
So, i think that we should include some fundamental analysis

also.
It is not only about indicators and patterns,we should have a vast knowledge of the forex market in order to have great results.

live accounts are often VERY different from demo accounts.

especially with this well known EA. a number of brokers either refuse to have it trade on their systems, or widen spreads at the times its looking to take trades.

there are more then 25,000 copies of this EA being used apparently; which is what makes passing on the orders to their counter-parties hard for the retail brokers which are hit with waves of simultaneously identical orders.
