I believe they are due to the fact that this EA makes trades at slightly different times - according to the manual, its a feature of the EA, so as not to overload the broker with multiple orders from many different users at exactly the same time.

I dont believe this trades at different times intentionaly. I've run this across several demos at once, and it often takes identical trades on each account. The differences that do occur are mostly due to slight differences in the price feeds. These differences will occur with any EA.
As far as the position sizes go. 30% is certainly posible, the risk setting will just grade the sizes to fit the available equity, but if you run this large a size across all four pairs, and several go into drawdown it will produce a margin call and the broker will close positions at a loss just to cover the margin .
I have found this to be a very reliable EA, but losses do occur, and drawdowns are inevitable. You dont want to let yourself get taken out on a margin call when the EA would have produced a profit. This can be really discouraging, especialy when you can see it coming and theres not much you can do about it but pray. |

| | Pip Sergeant | Results from this week, running on FxPro, with a 6 pip spread allowance.
eurchf, -26.72 pips, due to one large 46 pip loss.
eurgbp, +40.46 pips
usdcad, -124.36 pips, three 45 pip losses
gbpchf, +33.42 pips, no losses, 10 pip spread allowance
not a very good week for FAPT. |

| | New user | Fap Turbo Isn't this EA only recommended for EUR/GBP.
Because right now there are a lot of EA's that look the same.
Here is what I found about EA's scalping the Asian session with the EUR/GBP pair.
1 - Bankingfxdiamond : www.bankingfx.com
2 - EA Sigma : www.forexeasystems.com
3 - Neuros Forex System : www.forexpertadvisor.com
4 - Prizmal : www.prizmalea.com
5 - Abeiks : test-abeiks.ucoz.com
That's a quick search but there must be a lot more out there.
Oh by the way I bought Prizmal and it's a signal service it's not the EA from the Automated trading championship 2008 (ATC 2008). The results are not really profitable so far I only bought it for 1 month and I will not resubscribe. 100$us/month
If you have tested some of those please post and let's put them all under competition.

Forexdude | FAPT runs on the four pairs mentioned. These are the only pairs its capable of running on. Some have said that it runs best on the erugbp, and bascktesting seems to support this, but in real forward testing I find that the spreads durring the trading period are just to high to trade easily. The eurchf is also a prefersed pair and it produces good results. The other two are more questionable, the usdcad can often produce losses, and the spread on the gbpchf is huge.
I havent tested any of the other EA's you've mentioned, but some of them are pretty well known. I would definately be interested in seeing how they perform here. |

Are those accounts start up at the same balance?
| No, they are not. The opening balance is not important. It only determines the lot size. I am discussing the start trade time, end trade time, the start currency price, the end currency price and the spread (which is not shown here [another of my pet peeves]). Quote: |
the differences that do occur are mostly due to slight differences in the price feeds.
| On the same VPS account (PC) using the same broker and feed? Doubtful. In this controlled test, it seems obvious that the demo prices are different than the live prices at the same time.

Even on the same broker . I dont know that the actual prices shown are different, but the access to them, slipage, etc, are different, and most EA's dont trade the same on live and demo accounts. But this is not necessarily something internal in the FAPT, it is a general occurance with all EA's, and all brokers. |

| | Rookie Pip Officer | Why Alpari does not tread for a week?
What's wrong with this broker ?
I guess, because of them change the spread in Asia session. |
