FXGTC Xtreme EURCHF robot review - Page 4 - Pip Cop

Hello Everyone,

I have currently installed Xtreme EURCHF on 3 accounts: Live Alpari UK, Demo Alpari UK and Demo Fxcbs.

Live account results:

Wed-Thur (August 5-6): One attempted trade, the EA gave the message "Error open sell order: Expired expectations of the transaction". (this same trade was taken by both demo accounts with success, I have written FXGTC for explanation but did not get an answer after 2 days).

Thur-Friday (August 6-7): EA gave me another error message on another attempted trade " Error open Sell order: New prices". (this was a spike on the Alpari platform and both demos did not take any trades on that day, but why this message?)

So far no live trades using the EA but error messages, I will keep you posted. Meanwhile, the Fxcbs demo took one more trade than the Alpari demo which was a Buy at 1.5292 on Aug 6 at 5:30 Fxcbs time. All trades on all demo were winners.

I feel it's important to mention that the spread

on the Alpari demo is usually 2.8-3 pips but on the real account it is 5, I mean how low will these brokers go, that's why I am anxiously awaiting live results from my live account and of course FXGTC live account at Fxcbs. I also ear that ETC broker

from California is also an alternative for ECN brokerage service, does anybody know them, so far I read good comments.

At last one trade one my Alpari UK live account and it is a winner.

2009.08.11 07:42 Sell 1.53445 close at 1.53391

The same trade was taken on recommended broker

demo account Fxcbs but it closed at 3 pips profit instead of 5. I notice that all trades from Fxcbs close at 3 to 3.5 pips profit, but we are suppose to get 30% more profit with them ?

Another funny thing is that my demo Alpari account did NOT take the trade and that puzzles me, maybe the seller of the EA can answer these questions, wait I get on knees and pray very hard until I get an answer LOL; don't get me wrong I think this might be a good EA, I just love humor as this forex business is not that clowny

The maker of the EA also mentions that he opened a live account with Fxcbs, I sure wish we could get some update .....hummm am I forgetting something ..... get down on those knees you ?&?%$# OK here it goes.

Pipcop, I like your site as it is one of the only site where we can get the true time of day. Your EURCHF EA seems off and you probably should restart it with a fresh chart and EA as there are trades you did not take.

term EAs provide quite different results with different brokers. This happens to FAPT and Megadroid too. For example, I had 3 trades with FAPT EURCHF on ATC demo account and one trade on my live account...

No, I have only ATC demo. My live accounts are still with non-ECN brokers.

Hello Pipcop,

Your Xtreme EURCHF robot is not running, there was another trade during the night that all demos and live account took even the account from FXGTC.

Anyway it was a big loss of about -34 pips, at the moment only my live account has not closed the trade at a loss yet and is currently -30 pips. This was a non-sense entry against the current trend

, but the EA does not seems to be bothered by this. I have looked at all the big loses for this EA. The trades were all taken against the current 15M trend

even when longer term trend

lines had been broken. If the the EA would take this into consideration it would rarely lose. I thaught about going into the EA adjustment

and only allow long or short

in those occassions but it is an EA and I bought it because it is automatic.

Xtreme EURCHF behaves similarly to MD and FAPT -- it sometimes happens that they enter trade against the trend

, the general idea is that they start a trade during small activity time, when the price meanders within a narrow range

. Sometimes, the price does not just wanders around but starts a move -- all the EAs usually lose big when the move is against them and score just a couple pips if it is favorable

Actually, the highest ever pip score that I earned on FAPT on EURCHF happened when my computer went down at night and when I started it in the morning it proved that the trade hit the fake TP

that FAPT makes to fool brokers. So instead of 5 pips it earned 43 pips.

Their strength is the number of wins that is offset by much less numerous but painful losses. This is why I prefer to use scalpers with a small account.

Your answer is wise. But I have over 100K to invest. I have made about 370K with my original 10K investment 8 years ago but I am sick and tired of sitting at the computer 12 hours a day. I am willing to risk 100K with a good EA but does it exist ? it seems that most EA user risk a few hundred. I will try for a few weeks and if I can't get a grip on the handle I will just hang my skates as we say in French. I am ready to pay good money for a good EA, if there is a true live statement for few months ask your price I am your man.

I think that I should start charging for directing everybody to Robominer/GT-Shadow

. But frankly this is the only EA that I am willing to risk serious money with.

My $5600 account has grown to almost $8000 since the end of March. It was "grown" using GT-Shadow (with Robominer settings) and Megadroid. I moved MD to the small account and I left GT-Shadow on the larger FXDD account. GT-Shadow is a grid ea so it has been affected by FIFO

NFA rule recently and only non-NFA broker

allow for effcient use of it. ATC is NFA compliant so it would not do.

I am going to increase the FXDD account with additional funds and let it go. There are some risks involved -- one might be the AUDNZD or EURCHF FX rates going berserk (I just cannot imagine it, but there were a lot of things that we could not have imagined just 2 years ago). Another is that due to the fact that some of the positions are open for a long time swap

charges may erode some of the profits. But I am quite calm running it...

I will check into the stalled robot, but I didn't get any reports on it being down.

And, yeah, I am a fan of the GTS and RM robots thus far. Slow and steady and consistent gains. I already have it running on a live account and don't worry about it at all. Even when I screwed up one with too large of a lot size, and lost some money, it has recovered and it profitable again.
