Default Customer service and Brokers

Bought it the other day. Customer service is VERY fast, mostly in a few hours or less. I got both dealing desk and ECN.
Easy set up.
I'm going to run it with ATC. They are an ECN.
Not sure if their spreads are consistent. I was happy when I was first checking them out but there has been a few times when it was about 5. Usually its like 2-3 and sometimes 4.
If not I can do Alpari, I have an account with them. I also got set up with VPS. It seems so much easier to walk away from ( walking away is why we do eas right?)
Having it on my comp is so in my face, I feel a VPS service places it 'over there'
I will let you guys know my results.

Chuck,

How did you download both files (or either for that matter)? I purchased Xtreme EURCHF and only received the link for the manual. Did you have to contact them to get them? I have done so and am waiting for their response.

Thanks,
Eric

Hi,
From August we moved monitoring on Xtreme products to ECN broker www.fxcbs.com
Performance has improved dramatically,
Contact admin@fxgtc.com if you are a licence holder and you will get ECN version.

Default GMT Setup

Hello Pipcop,

The EA's documentation mentions: The EA should be running from 7pm GMT to 6amGMT, in other word from 19:00 to 6 am. I am using Alpari UK and I assume it has the same time as your Alpari US account. The GMT offset is 2 hours which means your chart window should mention: Trade time 0.00 8.00 and 21.00 24.00. As far as I can tell by your statement your GMT setting is at 1 Hr as several trades have been taken just after 18:00 hour GMT which is a trading period not allowed according to the system. I wonder how could this affect performance and should I set my GMT setting at 1 just like you did. Does Alpari changes it's server time during summer months as we do in North America ?

The GMT offset for Fxcbs should then be 3 ?

See Greenwich mean time http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/

see the mention GMT is always the same but there is a British summer time, is there an Alpari server summer time ? . As far as I can tell if you use Alpari with GMT setting at 1, trading start 1 hour early and close 1 hour early.

Just got this message from Alpari regarding server time; which confirms GMT EA setup

Here is the mail:

Dear Sir
Thank you for your email.

At the end of British Summer Time it will revert to GMT+1

Hi,
Yes alpari will move server in weekend of 25th October in line with British summer time.
Then the EA will go from GMT=2 to GMT=1.
Not every broker will move the timeclock on their MT4 server.

We loaded Xtreme to FXCBS and you can measure performance improvement dramatically against 5pip spreads Alpari.

Remember, a 2 pip lower spreads improve performance by 30-40%.

Default Fxcbs

FXGTC >

Fxcbs broker seems good in demo, but what about live trading conditions, any experience with that ?

My experience is that demo is marvelous with just about all brokers but when you get to a live account you seem to be in another world. For instance FXDD demo was fabulous and I opened an account with them and made one trade only where I was requoted 9 times before being able to finally close it with a 3 pips gain from 25, I closed the account immediately, they never asked why !

Hi,
Price feed is the same, so spreads identical.
We just completed open our corporate account, we should have EA on it by end of week once funding arrives.

Good, I will be waiting for your comments and if you find their live account with close to identical performance with the demo, I will open with them a substantial account.
