please excuse my ignorance; you say you are running six copies of MT4 at one time. However, you state that a single instance can only be logged onto one account at a time. Yet you have 2 demos running on Alpari at once. How are you looged in to both at the same time?

Yes, six copies of MT4, each copy in it's own directory. When I start each copy it logs onto one broker account either live or demo. So on the bottom line of my VPS desktop, I see six MetaTraders running.

Am About to start my Megadroid account. What time frame are you trading, what hours? Also, would you mind sharing your settings?

Carlos,

Unless you do funky things with MegaDroid, it always trades on an H1 chart. The hours are programmed into the EA and you don't need to worry about it.

The settings I use on my live account are in post #1 of my trading journal.

Hey Rick,
I've been reading your journal for the past few days and I'd like to first thank you for sharing your vast knowledge with all of us. I am brand new to the game and don't have a ton of money to play with at the moment. But I am going to purchase MD and play around with it in demo mode for awhile while I save up. Just have a few questions for you...

1. Do you still recommend ATC Brokers as a decent broker with MD for US residents?
2. Do you think I am choosing the best solution by going with MD? (From what I've read it is slow, but steady. Which I'm ok with)
3. What is the minimum amount you recommend for initial investment when that time comes?

I have increased the MegaDroid risk from 0.20 to 0.30. If all goes well, I will increase it again this coming weekend back to it's original value (before the upgrade to version 1.30) of 0.40.

People are using all kinds of other brokers. It's a personal choice. I am using Alpari UK. They are not perfect but in the comparisons I run all the time, they are at or near the top of the list.

The choice is usually based on what EA you are running and the currency pair . Many EA's (mostly scalpers) are broker sensitive and their performance varies widely among different brokers.
