Last night was an interesting example of MD's intelligence. The trade was not going that well, so MD dumped it for a small gain instead of hanging onto it for a loss.
IMHO, MD is the best scalping EA on the market today and it is the only one (knock on wood) that is long-term (read years) profitable. But since it trades so infrequently, it needs another EA as a helper. Something that will not conflict with MD and preferably an EA that does not trade the same time window.

| I agree. I have been testing a combination of MD and Pipstrider for 2 months.
Check this out: http://www.myfxbook.com/members/pipd...dps-itfx/37611
I will finish the demo in a couple of days. Generally, the problems with Pipstrider's martingale strategy still remain and the only solution that I see so far is periodic withdrawal of the funds from the account and/or changing the settings to less and less aggressive as soon as the first rapid growth stage is finished (eg. when the account doubles). |

When you say that you will finish the demo, are you going to proceed with a live/real money account?
In regards to Pipstrider, what does Forex Goldmine recommend? I have to say that I am very uneasy with this EA.
I took a look at your MyFXBook page and noticed some GBPUSD trades. Which EA do these belong to? As I understand it Pipstrider trades only AUDCAD...right?

Rick | Pipstrider can trade any currency pair . Goldmine team recommends AUDCAD, but on the demo I used AUDCAD and CHFJPY, they seem to have similar characteristics and they seemed to work quite well. GBPUSD are occasional manual trades that I test on this account.
I have been using Pipstrider on a real account. So far it yielded ca 12% in one month. I used PS only on this pair and I have not used MD on this account yet.
Another use for Pipstrider is to ride trends (you set it to buy or sell only), the martingale + disrupter seem a good way to get out of the trend if it weakens or changes. I am testing this with other currency pairs. |

You have also found a worthy companion for MegaDroid and a more rounded trading methodology that fits your trading style.
I think that I also have found another companion for MegaDroid and The Channel Scalper but it's too early to say for certain. Forex Photon has done a really good job in July on an Alpari UK demo account (I finally got access to MyFXBook to check this, see MyFXBook Rant). In it's first (incomplete) month, it racked-up 38.82% in a month where scalpers did really well in the first part of the month and really lame (the good ones just stayed out) in the last week of the month. I will be writing more about this once I do the month-end stuff.
Forex party on dude
