| vForce -- news I have not phase out vForce, but I changed the settings to safer.
Today it has made 4 trades on each my demo account:
On one demo account restored almost 40% loss (this was the account with conservative settings) -- you can check it on my publicly available MT4 stats (those with EvoX mini).
On the other demo account it made ca. 500 USD (and it will take long before the loss is made up because now it has conservative settings so it handles much smaller trades).

| RoboMiner Hi Rick,
From what I have seen of Robominer's personal live stats, RM has done good this year with closed trades exceeding twice the existing drawdowns. However, one trader with a $1,900 account blew it up with a lot size of .1 lot.
I have been tiptoeing into it with GT-Shadow on AUD/NZD, EUR/CHF, AND GBP/CHF. So far so good. I still do not understand the value of the hedging function, although I tried it for a week with GBP/CHF vs EUR/CHF. The shadow trades were loosing money; so I gave up the hedge . |

It's no wonder that a $1,900 account using a single mini per trade blew up. That amount of capital is also under the starting one micro per trade (at $2,000).
I am going to stay with one currency until I have enough capital to increase to two.
The good thing about Robominer is that the DD increases gradually and you can see it coming. It's the extent of the DD that no one knows in advance.

| Aug 17-21 Results A very lite week trading with my live account. Robominer only closed four trades and MegaDroid had one trade with a very small profit.
Week: $115.68, 1.35%, $23.14/day
Winalot is doing a good job of making up for MegaDroid's massive loss on my demo account.

Unfortunately he disregarded the warning message RoboMiner pops up because it told him his account balance was too small. In a matter of weeks he earned $900, hence the $1,900 balance. Of course, then the market turned and he did not have enough capital to cover the draw down and blew his account.
He could have fixed that by (a) using the recommended settings (b) disabling trades after a few were open or (c) adding more equity - however he would of had to add 10x as much to cover the draw down, and seeing as how he started with $1,000 I doubt he had $9,000 more to put into his account, and even if he did he probably could not have done it fast enough.
Of course, during the time when he blew up his account, mine cruised right through it. I'm up around ... what ... 17.5% now? Bal: $235.44
Eqty: $235.36 |

| Robominer/GT-Shadow Hi Rick,
AUD/NZD is in a down trend ; so I am not expecting any big drawdowns until it passes through the center point and starts buying.
I missed the 2 Megadroid trades you had over the last 2 weeks; in spite of having 7 clones active. Could you tell me more about your big loss? How many pips did you loose? Did MD buy or sell? |

Agreed with AUDNZD. Actually, lately, it's been in a channel which explains why not too many trades where closed last week.
The MegaDroid trade opened Aug 13 00:55 GMT+2 (22:55 GMT, 18:55 EDT). I had risk set at 5 (0.05). The trade closed at 11:16 GMT+2 (9:16 GMT, 5:16 EDT). The trade was in progress 9 hours and 21 minutes. The loss was 64.5 pips. It's ticket 13205725 in my live statement.
We have seen this behavior before. Anytime MegaDroid hangs onto a trade for that long, we know it's going to be a big loser. I was fortunate that because my risk was only 5, the lot size was only 0.31 so I only lost $199.95 which is almost the exact amount of my Robominer profits that week.
After that loss, I analyzed all my MegaDroid trades and MegaDroid has done well for me. Not quite up to the advertised win/loss ratio and nowhere near the profit level. Since the beginning of May, my live account has taken 37 MegaDroid trades with 35 winners and 2 losers for a win percent of 94.59%.
Since the MegaDroid loss of Aug 13th, I have further reduced my risk level to 2.5 (0.025). The MegaDroid trade of Aug 21 (ticket 13371833) reflects this.
I may increase the MegaDroid risk level but losing 65 pips to gain 10 makes me gun shy

| Robot trades Hi Rick,
Here are my totals (wins - losses) for the last 4 weeks:
Forex Decimator: Zero trades
Forex Monster: -52 pips
Fapturbo: -17 pips
GT-Shadow on AUD/NZD: +69 pips
GT-Shadow on EUR/CHF: +6 pips
GT-Shadow on GBP/CHF: +205 pips
Humanoid: +76 pips
IvyBot: +159 pips
Maestro: +275 pips
Megadroid: +30 pips
Manual trades: +136 pips
The success of IvyBot was a surprise to me; it trades on USD/JPY. I still have hope for the Decimator. It just does not trade very often. Humanoid has not traded for the last 2 weeks, nor has Megadroid. I was counting on Megadroid to make me some money; but at least I missed your big loss.
Good luck to you in the coming week! |
