Yes, I agree that I was running vForce too hot but it's the only way of getting scalpers and semi-scalpers to perform. This is true of FAPT, MegaDroid and other EA's. As an example, Pipcop has raised the risk on MegaDroid here from the default of 5 to 35. Pipcop runs the same risk of losing once or more than once in a row.

I agree with you. Multiple EA's each running with low risk. That is a good way to go but expensive since you have to buy all those EA's.

I am still confused on the Shadow's hedging function. That will take more study. Maybe I just have to run a hedge at .01 lots and see what happens?
Good luck next week!
I think you are talking about 0.10 lots (one mini...right) that I was talking about a couple of posts back. I have to do this with Robominer cause my broker will only allow a minimum of one mini on each order.

Pipcop here has been running GT-Shadow that way for months without any problems. I also ran some back-tests and the DD reached 51% at one point but the EA hung in there. Just don't put another EA on the account at the same time that hangs onto trades. Scalpers only. I am going to run Robominer and MegaDroid on the same account. I don't know what risk setting I will be using with MegaDroid yet but it won't be too high.

Default Forex Funnel

Hi Rick,
Killer-B swears by Forex Funnel. What do you think? I don't know how it works; but apparently it has a Martingale in it. It sounds very aggressive; but dangerous.

I have no direct experience with Forex Funnel but there is a good review of it here. It lasted 8 weeks in a demo account. No hard stop according to the review. The year-to-year back-tests are also not good. Not one profitable year.

I think you should draw your own conclusions based on your trading objectives and risk/DD tolerance.

jerrycollie:

I definitely ran vForce too hot. I think that a reasonable setting is somewhere between 5%-10%. I never risk more than 2% of my equity for manual trades.

So far I have not used hedging with GT too. Right now I am quite satisfied with the small subset of GT capacities that are preset with RM settings.

Apart from hedging there is also one more feature that is worth researching: dynamic grid, but I postponed studying it to the moment when I stop being happy with what I already have (hopefully not too soon ).

Based on the recommendation at The Bot Farm, I have just purchased a one month trial of the Winalot EA. I first heard of this EA over at 4xproject.com where they are in the first week of testing Winalot.

Unfortunately, I had to pay 20 quid for the one month trial but at least Easy EA does offer a trial at less than full price.

I just put Winalot on my VPS demo account so you can check my demo account statement. This EA trades GBPUSD so it will be easy to locate in the statement. Reports at the end of the week, as usual.

Default Aug 10-14 Results

It was a mixed week with my live account. A very small profit gain (at least it was not a loss). Robominer did well this week closing 8 trades but the week was hampered by a large MegaDroid loss.

Week: $21.86, 0.25%, $4.37/day

On my demo account, Winalot closed one GBPUSD trade for a healthy profit. Two more Winalot trades are still open. MegaDroid took a huge loss (it is running at high risk [38]), and Robominer closed 7 trades.
