| March 23-27 Results A bad week with FAP Turbo. I lost 5.3% of my live account .
The EURGBP pair continues to be a problem. Yesterday, I changed the end hour of this pair but I used the wrong hour (I used 0 and I should have used 23). And of course, (just like just about every day) the last trade of the day was a loser.
Next week, I will be running FAP Turbo with the proper stop hour on the EURGBP pair.

Rick | Hi Rick,
How's trading? I see you took a beating just a little. That EUR/GBP and GBP/CHF pair will make you nervous and take a bashing!!!
I took a hell of a hit on my demo account. 3K to 62K in 1.5 months was amazing but last week it took a major bashing and dropped to 9K. Even at that the account was overall up 7K in 1.5 months. Not too bad...
I set the GBP/CHF back 30% to ease up on the huge losses and will watch the market for it to calm down.
This EA operates amazing when the market is not in such a panic as it has been. It will come back just wait.
Keep me posted my Friend and great luck!!!!

| Hi Mike,
FAP Turbo is a real roller coaster. The EURCHF pair is, by far, the best performing pair for me on my live account. EURGBP was a close second until this past week. Lately, it has been loosing the last trade of the evening just about every day.
I have been paper trading a GBPUSD system against my live account charts since Feb 11 and it is showing real promise. If it keeps holding up, I plan to trade it live mechanically starting May 11 for another three months and if it passes that test, I will create an EA out of it.
Are trading a live account? I cannot remember if you told me.
Lots of pips to you

Rick | Hi Rick!
I am trading a live account and it is doing well. I had some losses and I did contaminate my account results but overall it is behaving just as I thought it would.
You are right on with the GBP/CHF pair. It is the most volatile and especially at this time in the Market. I am still running all 3 pairs and I am currently using Fap version 36.
I have tested and currently test this EA. I have spent so many hours on it and so far the results match the analysis.
I don't expect to realize the results for months to come. My demo account I opened with 3K on Feb 2, 2009 and it jumped to 62K in 1.5 months. This was exactly what can happen if the Market behaves itself. Right now the Market is acting badly....overly excited then panic. The EA loses and then regains.
I expect this and I think it will be over next month...we will see. These times can't be compared to historic data since this is virgin ground we are walking on at this time BUT I am confident that history will repeat itself and this market volatility will calm down soon.
I am glad to see you are running a live account. I think this is the ONLY way that one will truley know if a system/strategy is going to work...or not.
I will be watching your results closely. Even though your settings are different than mine it only confirms my tests and analysis.
Great job!!!!
Let me know how you are doing!

I had a look at the stats of some of the site members and I am glad that I started small. My living account balance was started with 2000 USD, it did not manage to accumulate much of a cushion before the blow came. It will take weeks to recover.
Now we have a bit better idea that FAP can also drain the account. Imagine 3 or 4 losses of this magnitude in a sequence...

| Don't get started on the randomness thing . It's one of my pet peeves along with the major differences between a demo account and a live account using the same feed and broker .
The key ability to sustain multiple max losses is the reason that no more than 1-3% should be risked per trade. It's not a question of whether it will happen, it's just when it will happen.

| As I started with the randomness, let me drill some more on it. I think it is good for the reasons mentioned on the FAP Turbo test thread, it makes it possible to trade with this ea at all. Otherwise, slippage would erase all possible profits, taking into account that it profit target is just a couple of pips normally. If FAP Turbo legion of users orders are dispersed over night time, the chances that we will earn on price fluctuations is much bigger... What is evident from my several days of live trading with FAPT is that its earning curve is definitely less smooth than backtesting suggests. I wonder to what extent is this a result of curve optimization needed for marketing the ea...

| | Rookie Pip Officer | Hi Rick,
Just following up on your stats. I see that today was another out of sync day for Fap. I had 4 trades today which is down from usual. Ths Market is just too vaoatile still but it is interesting to see how it preforms during the bad times. I am very intested in how is handles the bad market conditions and of course the good times will always be good.
So you are still holding off on running the GBP/CHF pair? I do agree that this pair is the most volatile but I will continue to run it. I did set back the risk for now.
Looks great! and good luck to you!!!

Mike | Hi Mike,
Last night, the EURCHF pair acted up and it ended up costing. That trade lasted for hours. Fortunately, Fap Turbo exited when the price was near to the entry point .
The GBPCHF pair will not trade with Alpari UK because the spread is always at least 10 during FAP Turbo hours. On my demo1 account (rsmerekad1.mt4stats.com), I have GBPCHF setup on V45 Pro with restricted trading hours and with a max spread of 10. So far, it is doing well but, as you know, doing well on a demo account is not really a great indication of how well it is going to trade live.
