Yep,

At least yours was a demo account. I just lost $4,881.88 of real money or 36.25% of my equity

I guess I put that EA on a live account too soon and I ran the EA at a much too high risk value. Oh well, it's only money...

Back to the drawing board.

Indeed, it must hurt on live account...

vForce looks promising with its over 90% hit rate , however similarly to MD and scalping EAs the stop losses are placed at frighteningly low levels.

Shortly, we must be wary with high risk -- or it hammers on our account balance at most unexpected moment...

So we still need to look for the Holy Grail...

I was thinking of going to EvolutionX next but the author's website is gone and that EA blew two demo accounts on me so I am thinking of Robominer. So what if it takes 10 years to build up a good fund. Ho..hum.

I still continue with EvoX mini on my demo account. It have managed not to blow my account yet. But this time I started with $5000 for EvoX mini. When I used $1000 accounts they got blown quite easily.

I use GT-Shadow with Robominer settings and I am quite comfortable with it. Recently, there was some commotion related to introducing new NFA regulations, but the broker that I use (FXDD) is not NFA regulated yet. The RM author prepared another ea for NFA affected users - Prospector, I am testing it currently, but I find it less safe than RM.

I am going to set up an account with a new broker (most probably with FxPro) and I will seed another GT-Shadow money tree . Even if it makes "only" 50% a year, this is more than I am able to do with my manual trades or with risky EAs (for these I have a relatively small account... in Canada).

In light of the huge loss in my live account today with vForce Like EA V1.1, I have pulled this EA from my live and demo account. I also had to re-generate my demo account from the beginning. I loaded it with a balance similar to my live account and put a demo version of Robominer on it. I have left all the settings default except FIFO which I set to false since I do not use an NFA broker . I am only trading the AUDNZD pair for now.

There is going to be an issue with the Robominer lot size if I decide to go live with this EA as my Alpari UK account is classic and the smallest lot size they allow to open a trade is 0.10 (one mini) which is not what Forex Goldmine recommends. Pipcop here has been running GT-Shadow with Robominer settings on an Alpari US demo account with 0.10 lot size for some time now without any difficulty although I noticed that there are a series of losses in the current statement that should not be there.

I am going run a series of back-tests on Robominer with various settings and I'll see the safest way of getting Robominer to at least 0.10 lot size.

Smile Megadroid traded

Hi Rick,
Thanks for the update on V-Force. I'll cross that one off of my list!

Keep us updated on RoboMiner-GT Shadow. I bought GT, but have been afraid to turn it loose. I understand it has big draw downs; and I am worried about the swap fees; since it shorts the Audie which currently has the highest interest rate . The interest on the Kiwi was the highest last year.

Last week going long the EUR/USD live on IBFX (No problem with FIFO ):
3 out of 7 copies of Megadroid made the same trade, each +10 pips:
8/7 from 21:00 to 21:05 won 10 pips each.

2 out of 7 copies of Faptubo 47 (set to scalp) made the same trade:
8/5 from 22:14 to 01:31 won 10 pips each.

7 copies of Maestro (set to scalp) made various trades:
8 wins for a total of 79 pips and curiously enough
1 loss of 80 pips.
Maestro won 64 pips the week before; so I am still ahead by 63 pips.

Humanoid made one trade:
8/7 from 06:00 to 12:31 won 23 pips on the 15 minute chart.
So far Humanoid is the winner in this battle of the droids with 2 nice wins and no losses; up 71 pips.

IvyBot set on 4 different pairs made no trades.

As you have no doubt read above, yesterday was a disaster. vForce on my live account full-stopped out for a total loss of $4,889.94.

Week: -$4,283.10, -33.3%, -$856.62/day

As I mentioned above, I have pulled vForce from my live and demo accounts. I will probably put it back on my demo account at a very low risk level. In the meantime, I think I will be buying Robominer. I have Robo running on my demo account now and I will soon put it on my live account.

Thanks for the great report,

I am also watching Humanoid, Ivy and Insider Pro.

The DD on Robominer is not that bad if you stick to the recommended lot size. The rollover fees are also an issue I agree but if the lot size is small, the fees should not eat to much of the profit.

Default V-Force

Hi Rick and Pipdetector,
Maybe you two were running V-Force too hot? I try to stay at about 5%; but heat things up by putting 5% on several different brands of robots. Diversification cuts down the risk as we all know.

Default RoboMiner

Hi Rick,
I have been studying RoboMiner, and I am going to take your advice and turn GT-Shadow loose live on IBFX at .01 lots. They say the spread is too high on IBFX. I'll keep you and Pipdetector posted on the results. I think it may take months for the Shadow to actually pull ahead.
I am still confused on the Shadow's hedging function. That will take more study. Maybe I just have to run a hedge at .01 lots and see what happens?
Good luck next week!
