| | Rookie Pip Officer | Rick,
I really am new to doing any forum stuff so please excuse me if I miss stuff and type bad. Never claimed to be a typist!
I miss one of your questions. You asked how far back I backetested.
I assume since we had great times up to about mid 2007, I use to 01012005. A nice 4 year test for our current situation economically. People backtest waaaaay back but I think is is un-necessary. Our times are now and changing faster than ever. To use a backtest from mostly good economic times would contaminate my results and give the wrong impression.
At least that's how I view it.

| Hi Mike,
It's Charles A.Floyd, ll. I know, FAPTS is scary at times. Especially with the recommended 500 pip stop loss. True, there is a trailing stop but if the trade does not move in your favour, it does not get activated. I recently spent two weeks on pins and needles on one short trade that moved to about 350 pips against me. I was using the recommended lot size and I was freeking Also since there is only one trade at a time, there were no other trades during this period.
See my trading journal for the details. I have been trading this live since Jan 14th.
I also demoed the Grid EA on fapwinner. It's interesting but like all grid EA's, there can be quite a drawdown . To it's credit, it uses very small lots.
Wow, four years of backtest, sounds good. I know, it's no indication of the future but that it why we forward test.
Don't worry about your typing, I understand you perfectly and that, IMHO, is what is important.

I need to call Alpari on Moday and ask what is the MAX lots that be waged.
I wonder???? Can someone wage a 500 Lot size? This would be 50 million.
| I think this is broker specific. IBFX, for example, allows up to 50 (I think) minis on a mini account and 100 full lots on a standard. They say you have to call them for anything bigger than that.
I did a Google on otkat and took a look at the web page. Looks interesting. Have you submitted it to pipcop and asked for a demo on it? I think I would be interested in the demo results.

| Matchett,
Can you open a small mini account and run FAPST live$$ for us? $20? $50? I have two tiny accounts myself with IBFX, one $8 and the other is accidentally down to $9.02, but still running each on 1-micro-mini. Will FAPST do ok on IBFX, have to ask as I haven't been following this Faps EA at all. Just wanting to promote others doing more live$ runnings on small accounts as it is valuable to do but it scarcely is done.

| | Rookie Pip Officer | You want me to open a micro account and run Forex Auto Pilot? If so then how much of an account do you want me to open?
Also you to follow the Forex Auto Pilot guideline you are supposed to calculate your account balance and you goals. I also would need those parameters so we can all be on the same page.
I would be more than happy to be part of a control group and test this thing out. I just need specifics so we are all following the same rules.
If it is FAP Turbo you are talking about then the same would apply.
Just tell me what you want and I will get it done...up and running for next Monday.

| | Pip Chief of Police and Site Owner | Mike, you should look into posting your statements at www.mt4stats.com and then you can link to it from your thread. I'll try to set up something to make that easier for you to do, like the link under your name for your trading journal. |

| Pick the system and how you would trade it and just make it 1/100th scale is all, .......how you would do it per the instructions of manual and how you would want to do it, is all. $10 would be 1/100th of a Thou account and pad it to $20 (??), so whatever lot size you're doing for whatever account you're currently doing on a typical mini account, divide by 1/100,.....was it 1-mini, so do .01, was it $5K, so account be $50. The rest of the settings be the same, it's simply a Z-scale mini railroad system that is 1/Xth size of an O scale train set. So I leave for you to figure out and do, if this be your purpose to see it fly live$ early enough on then you'll set it up, I'm sure. BTW, IBFX allows up to 3 accounts. To avoid the $20 convenience charge send in the check, kills some time but not worth the $20 charge for puny accounts like this to go rapid.
You can do like I do also for P.SAR, publish it if you get it set-up right with your server house, they can help (well, if they are as helpful as my inexpensive CNS), then you can do as I with a link to put in a journal thread so we can watch the progress. Later, should you be ongoingly happy with your best selected system and it's settings, you can "pump up" the amount to your desired amount (you would then maybe want to remove publish link from posting).
Hope that helps. Look forward to seeing your publish link.
