| Pip Chief of Police and Site Owner | How to create and use your Member Trading Journal Overview: While there is no single right way to do a member journal, you can do a few things that will ensure more people follow your buildup and reply in your thread. I highly recommend that you start your member journal and reserve the first post for the following: - A table of contents so readers can get a quick overview of your investing path and only read the posts related to your trading.
- Brief overview of your history with Forex (how long, experience level, typical ROI)
- List of tools or services you like or dislike.
- List of goals or other information you want to share.
After you start your member journal, immediately post a reply and use that post for your first entry.
If anybody has any additional tips to make it easier for our members to follow your buildup, please post them here. Share your journal under your username:it is now possible to link members to your Member Trading Journalin the detail of each one of your posts below your username.
To accomplish this:
1) Find the complete URL of your member journal and identify the thread number. Here is an example of a thread in the members journal forum: http://www.PipCop.com/forums/site-info-announcements/5-about-site-founder.html
In this case, the thread number is 5.
2) Go to your User CP and click "Edit Profile".
3) Scroll down to the bottom section titled, "My Trading Journal" and paste the thread number into the field below it.
Once you paste the thread number and save the changes, then you will notice a link to your member journal in the postbit detail, on the left. How to upload statements: When you save a statement from MetaTrader, it will be in HTML. Unfortunately, for security reasons, I can't let people upload HTML pages to my web site. Therefore, you will need to do one of the following to upload your statement:
1. PDF it. Download this free PDF converter and install it, and it will create a new printer in your system. Then Open your HTML statement, click File - Print in your browser (or CTRL+P) and select the printer named "PDFCreator" and follow the directions to save the file. Then upload the PDF file.
2. ZIP it. In Windows, Right-Click it, select "Send to --> Compressed folder" and then follow the directions. Then upload the ZIP file. |
