If you are looking for a Forex tutorial/howto, I don't know any good books that are geared towards guiding you.

The best resource for Forex newbie's IMHO is babypips.com although it is oriented towards teaching you to design and trade a manual system. It's introduction material on Forex is very good.

I originally learned technical analysis from the Futures market and the techniques are almost the same. All of the books I have are about TA and apply to any market not just Forex.

Update:

I was researching why I keep getting an MQL4 error 131 with TadawulFX and I bumped into this pdf from them that explains a lot of basic Forex information. Just keep in mind that it is from a broker .

The guys at Forex.com wrote a book that is pretty easy to read. It gives you the basic information that a forex trader should know. It is geared toward manual trading but it is pretty good at explaining the basics of Forex. It is called Currency Trading For Dummies it was wrote by Mark Galant and Brian Dolon. I rented it from my local library, but it is about $16.49 at amazon.com. Like Rick said, there is tons of information on the internet if you have the time that is free. I hope this helps.
