yes, forex robots started anew competition and funnel blew the account on like day 2 when the NFPR hit it hard. I always turn off the funnel on days like this....

Question Non symetrical hedging

I have noticed that the hedging version of FF uses martingale position building only for shorting, but it doesn't use it for long positions. I wonder if this is some sort of a bug.

So for example right now I have one buy trade that was opened at 90.55 and the current price is 88.34, so if it worked the same way with long as with shorts, I should have 11 positions opened... Does FF use some filter for using maritingale with dominant trend ?

I just do not see much sense in hedging the way FF behaves now...

The new version is a NON HEDGE version, to be used in the USA with the new ruling. My version ( new) has not done a single long buy. The older version would occasionally do a long, but it was rare. In short , you can new have longs and shorts anymore on the same pair. This ruling doesnt affect me since Im using forex.com and they moved all metatrader account to the UK branch. I dont worry about it in the USA like I said cause the new version is clearly marked NON HEDGE FUNNEL.
It also clears all shorts below it as the same SL and Profit level when it hits, thus, No old trades on the table.

I forgot to turn off Funnel on friday which was a NON PAYROLL FARM day, It blew my $250 demo account this time. I always turn it off. This should be programed into the funnel, but does seem to be. If I was to build the funnel, Id turn of the big news days and limit the martingale effect to only 4 to 6 trades and then pause for 12 hrs if loss is detected.

I got both HEDGE and NONHEDGE copies of FF. I do not use the nonhedge version, because during backtesting I have noticed that the nonhedge version places only short trades (no matter what kind of account you use). I thought that the EA should be capable of trading both short and long so I use the hedge version. My remarks referred to the ole hedge version run on a non US account (Alpari UK demo).

Agreed, definitely turn it off on NFP days like KB suggested many post ago. This EA is very similar to the Profxmaker cept it's long biased opposite of FF and the free ea bliss which I couldn't find anywhere anymore.

Was looking forward to reading his trading journal especially one as successful as KB, guess we won't be seeing him again. Who can blame the guy, I wouldn't be wondering around endlessly reading Forex forums one after the other if I made that much
