Guess what EA this is.

Have a gander at 180% profit (no MM yet, anyone want to add it?) and 28% dd, 242 profit trades (93.5%!? MegaDroid people with red face?), only 14 losers, M30, EURUSD, 5 digit on AlpariUS demo......don't look in title in url, just click-on it, see if you can guess what EA this is:

I spent a couple days looking over a lot of EA review sites ,and walking around town today I had the big gumption to have another look at this basic simple EA, and wow oh wow, it comes out like something I really would like compared to every EA out there! And it's free! Right on MT4 handed to us! Have you guessed it yet? Yep, Sample_MACD re-visited!
If someone knows why this isn't good, tell me! Mama! It uses the closing prices in the MACD calculation, and the tester is set to D-O this at opens only, no need ticks (as you can see in performance, "modeling quality: n/a") sooooo, at opens it has the EA do its thing with the close values. Perfectly ok.
So I started-up a demo with $1,000, granted AlpariUS snaffued us with demos before, but maybe they'll keep things going for now, if not I do another broker with this.
If this pans-out as quite ok, it's our little pipcop.com forum secret for members, freeeeeeeee, LOL

.........HOWEVER!!!..........Wouldn't you know it...........it operates on "opens only" just fine but bringing period down to 3 months so my switching to "ticks" is sufficient........shows it with half the gains and twice as many losers, 8 instead of 4.
Sooo, "this looks like a job for a SuperDuck!" (quote from Daffy Duck cartoon), i.e., enter needing to wrap this EA in "Scientific" feature "of mine" (wherein the EA only operates on opens only during live or tick back-tests)
I'm working on it.
thMACD is already first attempt at this, it works nice, but the Scientific ended-up being within the MACD's only, so that EA is great but it has fault of whenever there is a rare loser it's 1/3rd the account, I had to have a hard-stop to save the account from those rare losers. The original MACD Sample has a wonderful trailing-stop feature that as you can see from above url cuts out of bad trades at some reasonable point ..........this however is bypassed with Scientific feature in "thMACD version, so that's why a hard stop was needed, one simply optimizes to get as many winner-ducks-in-a-row out of say past 10 months and voila, it's not too bad a deal. In fact M30 use has 65 trades all winners, accounts grows 47X. Still it will be very valuable to have just this Sample MACD within Scientific as it is a 200% gainer in a year, couple hundred winners and only 14 moderate size losers, very reasonable drawdown , it would make for a desirable EA. So off I go in getting quotes from coders and see if 1ka would like to give it a stab.

After walk in the park (necessary for someone who just turned 60 today! LOL ) and some head-pounding between me and 1ka I cognited on what was needed to make performance same when switched between "ticks" & "opens-only" in tester.
This basic EA now does its thing in either setting:

around a hundred 15 pip baggers, so thats daily on average and only a couple of losers (last one is a loser only because tester stopped in middle of trade).
I switch to "ticks" so that 2 months of 1min back-data is applied in tester and performance very similar, in fact it was a little better (you've heard of EA's that say "in fact performs a little better live?).
Thanks to 1ka as someone to have mutual head-pounding with! He I think is a Pro mql programmer as a consequence of seeing it thru the worst and the deepest re: MT4 fine points. He will be adding hard-SL for protection and money-management to it soon.
You can either see about the resultant EA via website which I will go change now in my profile, or you can do your own "research" to find out how to make this EA do the same in tick -by-tick mode for yourself, you've certainly already been shown how well it does in "opens-only" so you have a big head-start little secret right here on pipcop!
