I got good amount also with AlpariUS, 8 months, but probably could get more if I push it. Got to hand it to you for finding it's doing good back that far, fantastic!

You read it correctly, five trades. Wild. I posted a 'pdf' of the strat test results in my trading journal. Check it out.

I took more than a day to run the optimization for this amount of data.

Hmmm, fascinating different style obtained from wider optimization range . Over 2-1/2 years > 5 trades? That would be a heavy tax on the patience, think I prefer ranges where there is trading activity per week frankly, that much waiting would drive me loco But it's fascinating. What results are the many trades per period that you might like?

Jb,

After I ran the optimization, I sorted by profit and discounted any entry that had a DD too high (70% or higher) and that is how I ended up with those particular settings. I did not intentionally pick a result with a low number of trades, it just happened that way.

This is second time Invis EA has had a problem closing a trade, it seemed this time per log it was due to coincidentally the platform out-of-contact and the EA wanting to close a trade, thus an error was seen in log and the trade never closed. Back-test shows it should've closed after only 9 pips loss, but when I looked in server it was a hundred pips in the red!
I've decided the way to bypass this problem is to have the HardSL be a relatively small value like 15 pips and optimize with it set to that, thus this will never be a problem again. It's practically no big deal if on occasion a trade opening is missed, but closure missing is entirely different.
Both buy & sell sides show ok positive equity growth on these new optimizations, so we shall set a "watermark" when I have more 1min back-data, which btw is another problem as the data storer indicator I been using is out of control it seems, I'd like to have a new one built but currently finances can't be squeezed to do such, so I'm at risk to IBFX's randomities with on-rare-occasion bringing the back-data down to zero.
