hi James, (and now to all fellow pipcoppers)
I propose we start a thread (herein now started) where we can create our own EA using the most advanced indicators and calling upon best talents and donations for said project. I feel we are on good testing grounds with your pipcop, but the problem is a large region prior to pipcop, that of slapping-on whatevers out there that is not scientifically feasible enough to warrant tests. Granted you are requesting now forward testing of some period, but that is going to weed-out the field such a tiny arena to such a degree that one or two EAs will be loners in the field, and even those under changing market conditions will fall off your radar, and rightly so.
We need undertake all this by pursuing the earlier arena of responsibility for us as a group, perhaps call the group thread "We're Gonna Make It!" (I know, lame for now huh? LOL) It can grant a future EA to all those who do a minimum donation toward this endeavcor (no guarantees of arriving, but better to keep trying than not at all), and big-ticket-sales$$ will be divided-up to all donation members as incentive toward other kind of profit on being such member. Maybe even make this a separate website linked to from the thread?
One such high research EA is Pallada2009 (look up in SE), yet it is w/o fully-auto, it is "semi-auto". They have researched enough to "know" fully-auto most likely isn't sustainable given the market conditions, so they give manual and many
indicator
modules and user looks to see what kind of market and uses it that way. I say, of course, if one can see a mechanical way EA should be adjustable so that it can go full-auto for that market period, but they haven't responded back yet, I got on their ear too much I guess :-) , but this is just one of a few things we can go over in research thread, if, what & how we can re-program Pallada to be fully-auto.
Here is what I'd REALLY love! Noxa Predict modules!!!!!! (noxapredict.com) Here is return email from them!: We could design .dll around them wherein an EA is designed to communicate with these two moduiles thru the .dll surrounding these Noxa modules. I have experimented with aimlearning.com Artificial-Intelligence, but in doing so I find that simple TAs aren't enough and something like Noxa is needed to find the solutions. Programmers on web interested in forex would love this project. Nick (Nicholas Koehne, an advanced programmer) of N4.71 I think would love it! I think he's join in the cause. Here is that letter from NoxaPredict:

Hello Jerry,
Most our users are intraday. We are not trading intraday ourselves but we have heard excellent words from Forex traders indeed. If you don’t like experimenting too much I don’t recommend NEI though; it is quite demanding. But CSSA is much user-friendly and straightforward; to our strongly biased” eyes it is currently the best
Trend
-cycle tool out there, all time frame included.
Hope this helps.

“CSSA trendlines, slope, cycle, and flatlines should be enough to make any daytrader a living!”

“I am a big fan of NeuroShell add-ons, I own all of them. I also like newer indicators such as Causal Singular Spectrum Analysis (CSSA) from NOXA, a very promising, high quality add-on. It is, so to speak, the 21st century add-on – no one has made anything even close to it. I also like NOXA’s Entropy Indicators – they are very good for building predictions.”

“Dr. Ted’s immediate excitement is Noxa’s newly released entropy
indicator
add-on for NeuroShell. “In less than a minute of Trader optimization, I can tell you with more than 80% certainty if tomorrow’s GBP/JPY is going to close higher or lower. How cool is that?” “

“A note about the new Noxa indicators. I've been experimenting with them and so far they are quite interesting, adding something different from the usual technical indicators. I've experimented most with the entropy and prediction days indicators, which basically try to answer the question "is the data structured or disorganized (high entropy). I've not spent much time with the correlational (global information) components, so I can't say much about them. The other indication I find alluring, is that my nets seem to like them, as they get included in many of the nets I'm trying to train. This further suggests to me that they are addiing something useful.”

“Thanks for the post and the file! You might want to try comparing your models with MAs replaced by the FIR-based Cybernetic Analysis or MESA indicators, or by the newly released eigenvalue/eigenvector-based Noxa CSSA indicators of Phil Lonjoux. The latter are quite easy to understand and to handle (as in control), complex name notwithstanding :-D These no-lag indicators do provide more accurate change points.”
