| Since the price feed on Alpari demo is so much better than on a real account, I am adding a test to run TFOT on Alpari demo. If the results are good, I will put it on display. Let's see who will win this beauty contest: Alpari demo or GoMarkets demo.
If Alpari wins, I will also consider using it as master for real trading. I never thought I would be using a demo in such a manner. |

| | Site Supporter | I can tell you right now that in my experience, demo results on Alpari UK always beats GoMarkets.
Actually, I was surprised when you put TFOT on a GoMarkets demo since their demo's expire after 30 days. Heck, even as a client with a real money account you have to ask for special permission before you create the demo to get a non-expiring demo account.
My prediction, Alpari UK all the way.
Keep in mind that using a master/slave with the demo being the master is only needed when there is a high probability that a real money account will blow and the demo will not.

| I was given a never-expiring demo account when signing up with GoMarkets, but I used it for some goofin' around with one of my EA experiments, and equity dropped to a level that it was not suitable for trading anymore. Since I don't know how to reset the balance on a demo account, I had to create a new one. Each time asking the GoMarkets admin to change the never-expiring demo account is too cumbersome for me.
Anyway the official demo of TFOT reflects the trades on Alpari pretty well, is my impression.
I noticed differences in trades between GoMarket demo and on the real account. Must have to do with the difference in spread .
Itic software has also added a second real account for trading with TFOT 3.1 on EurUSD and USDCAD. I have added it in post nr 1. |

| | Site Supporter | That is the main reason why I don't do GoMarkets demo account's. Too much of a hassle to get a non-expiring demo account and I like your point of what to do when you need to re-load the balance. You have to go back to big brother and please sir, may I have another... pass!
The older TFOT account from last year, what version is that based on? V2? It looks like they are starting again right from the beginning with V3.1
BTW, the company is BJF Trading Group. I don't know where the Iticsoftware thing comes from. They are located not too far from me (about 260km) in Oakville, Ontario.

| The first TFOT account is based on version 2.0 indeed.
Version 3.1 has some improved features, they said: we have made some changes in this version (TP level, MM, etc.) and on back test this version works better.
I noticed for instance that the second face sometimes adopts the TP level from the first face (scalper). The previous version did not do that.
I don't know where Iticsoftware.com comes from. All the commercial emails to their customers are coming from that domain. They also use fxstrategy.ca. |

| | Site Supporter | I am trying to figure out the lot size formula based on appropriate risk. The new official live/real money account (Alpari US) was loaded with 20K to start and they are using 1.0 lot which should be 2K per mini (0.10) or 200 per micro (0.01). This risk is producing a projected monthly return of 28.28% (as of right now).
Does this sound reasonable?

| | Site Supporter | I just purchased this EA. Price I paid was $659.40 US.
The price at the BJF Trading Group site started at $985. My clicking around, I found a page that discounted this to $785. Then I used the Facebook coupon here which is good for 16% off.
I will be spending my holidays running piles of backtests (and will publish them here, of course).

Rick | Numberwise yes, sounds right. But I would prefer to try it out with minimal lotsize at first, nano/mini/standard/whatever. In FX there is big difference between theory and practice.
I bought it at more or less the same price. They also have 30% off action at their site at the moment for all their products for Xmas event. Same stupid thing as coupons. I considered using their EA programming service, but in the end I decided not to. What is the use of having an EA built, if you cannot test it properly? Besides building and testing your own EA's (as miserable as they are) is much more fun.
I tried some backtests on different pairs too, but the spread is crucial for this EA, so only the major pairs. No other currency pair was profitable in my test.
The demo at GoMarkets is doing less but better trades than Alpari. For the moment... |

Backtests look pretty good. I am just trying to find the optimum risk percent so that I can run both pairs in comfortable DD.
More later,
