| You are pointing it out yourself ... the current win:loss ratio is "desastrous" compared to what it used to be, and that is a constant in the current market for months now. True, if you go back a long time, FGB has started great and has become much worse. The problem is, that in the current market conditions (which because of the economical situation with the debt crisis and everything I expect to be with us for quite some time) FGB is not even close to a 2:1 ratio and will not be for a long time. So personally I don't think a long term analysis will be even close to being adequat in the current market, unless you plan for keep it running for the next 5 - 10 years when this whole mess with the Euro has hopefully been solved in some way.
I do think it is still profitable, which is why I am still running it, but 17% sounds quite right in the current market, since we are already outside of the really bad losing streak of FGB since August. But for this 17% I definitely consider the winners to be "not that big".
Actually it would probably be best to create a new EA as a combination of the FGB indicator that is being packed with FGB and the FGB entry strategy. Because from my observation it probably would have been much more profitable to trade the Indicator and exit the trade when FGB actually opens it, instead of running FGB. Because I for myself am more interested in the performance during the current market, than during a hypthetical 10 years period.
Anyway, looking forward to your results with basic, hopeing that mine with power will be a bit better. |

In reality, it's holding it's own. True, it has not surpassed the high equity point on Aug 11... yet. Anyway we will see. I think this EA has proven itself long-term but I could be wrong.
Do you have a MyFXBook link to your FGB account?

| Not for the old ones when I used the basic. I had the power version running on my blown GoM account ( http://www.myfxbook.com/members/deat...ets-gmu/188031) for about a months now, and I have just moved it to the FXP account ( http://www.myfxbook.com/members/deat...gmu-fgb/192730) today, so if you want to compare the performance you can check it on the FXP account where I will leave it running for now. Hopefully it exceeds my expectations... But I am also running GridMeUp Enhanced on the FXP, so you might want to use the Magic filter. |

| That's probably because it has not made any trades on that account yet. As I said, I switched it over to that account just today.
FH failed were the unsuccessful tests (closed after 1s) of FH with FXP. |

| Smart exit is the last of the external parameters that you can alter. It is default set to true. I never touched the standard settings of FGB, because there is no description that tells you what it does. Sounds silly, doesn't it? A parameter that is not described in the manual. |

| There is ... Quote:
Smart Exit (All Versions) – (Default on) If after 18 hours if profits are over 40% of take profit,
the robot will automatically close the trades. If after 30 minutes if profit is in a loss 60% from
stop loss, then close trade out early to prevent further losses.
Wave trailing and Trail Pips will not work at the same time. If both wave trailing is true and
trail profit risk is above 0, the robot will use wave trailing.
| Unless the market opens with a nice downtrend next week, today was just another example of nice profits not being nice enough for FGB to collect |

But nevertheless I do not like to fiddle with settings I do not fully understand. If you do not know that you are doing, the result could be (very) bad.
