It's crazy that no recourse can be taken against these guys for all the losses they caused, but most would say that WE are the crazy ones for entrusting real money to these guys knowing full well that we run the risk of losing it all and they have nothing to lose!

I always think I learned all the hard lessons in Forex, but I always still go back and risk more than I want to lose. Maybe I'll never learn. But one thing I'm also never going to do, is give up.

You should watch that jumping out of office window talk. The people with the straight jacket will come to take you away to the Forex rubber room

As I have said before, I am completely responsible for my actions and I blame only myself for believing that it could go on indefinitely.

I am also never going to give up unless they send me to the Forex rubber room.

Rick

Default new version

Hello,
we released a new version improving mainly the money management . As you can see from the statement below the monthly performance are reduced compared to the older version but on the long term drawdown should be considerely smaller.
after a certain expositions the EA will close at breakeven. Those are some of the improvements we did, but they are the most important.

Please take a look at the new statement (normal risk / high risk) :

After loosing 37K with your system,

Never again.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Hello Rick,
relating to your last post:
- how much did you deposit when you started running Genial?
- didn't you ever withdraw?

it's up to you to decide when to withdraw part of your profits if you don't want to take the risk to lose a certain sum of money. Your initial deposit was around of 10k - or even less - and then you reached 37k - almoust 4 times your initial deposit.

If you never did a withdrawal, we would say that what you lost was your initial deposit, and not the final. We got paid for the results, but if they are negative we don't get paid and we work for free!

Both of us lost money, but if we are here with a new version, it means that we risk to work for free if our software will not be reliable as we are confident.

We improved several points from the older version, especially the money management . In similar market conditions that caused the losses, the new version will cope them succesfully.

As we take care about our image, We invite You to test the new system to check personally our improvements.

Best Regards
Genial Invest Team

At the time of the melt-down, my balance was over 37K,

It has no bearing (to the discussion of the viability of your system) what my deposit was. It also has no bearing whether I withdrew any money (which I did not).

We are discussing the viability of your system here, nothing more.

I am stating my opinion based on factual history and I stand by it.

Rick

I never got personally involved into genialinvest (phew), but reading all the previous posts I am amazed that you had the courage to come and post here. That is like venturing into the lion's den. I do not think that you will find many friends here.

We are not looking for friends. We are just looking to for who want to make money together with us, as Rick did. It sounds easy to say "bravo" if you realize 400% in less than 4 month, and than to have only critics if the system crash.

Running an expert advisor does not mean to leave the own money and to switch off the pc. Having a good system means that the only part that is missing is the money management of the own portfolio.

As we always suggest, do not risk more than what you can lose.

it's up to who is running the system to choose how much to risk.
Let's say that your initial balance is 2,000.00 EUR and you are a good trader so you turn it into 70,000.00 EUR (which is what Genial did - from 192 EUR to 7000 EUR) - if the day after you destroy your account , honestly, will you think more about your trading mistake or that you did not withdraw anythng until that moment?

We invite everybody doing a search on this forum about "Genial" - you will discover several post (especially made by Rick) where he was informing everybody that the strategy was performing very well but that the disadvantage was the drawdown .

Even if you were not a client of us, knowing this, do you still think that the expert advisor is a scam or maybe it was profitable, and it could be steady also on longer term with some improvements?

Think about that after what happened, for sure we did auto-critic, with the target to learn from the mistakes and to confirm the good points.

We also hope that Rick, after this experience, did not only think that was only shame of the expert as he wrote.
Only learning from this esperience there will be a small chance to get again the same situation. (for us, and for the investor).

Don't you agree?
