While I agree with you,

I have learned from experience that unless you know how to trade manually (I can but not with any accuracy), you should not fool around with an EA's trades.

Hey rick, long time. Had military obligations and little access to internet. I've contacted GI and made arrangements for an account. I would like to know if you need to turn the EA off ever like during news or if the EA's server controls those aspects autonomously.

Also have you found a solution to the issues with AlpariUK+Forexvps and this EA? I was hoping to use the same system.

Your management of the EA is completely hands off. Genial Invest does everything for you (they even want you to keep MT4 running on the weekend which I do but I have no idea why).

Sorry for not posting the solution to the VPS and Genial Invest problem that I was having. Turned out to be that I was logged in twice on the VPS, one login was correct and one was incorrect. So there was actually two MT4 instances referring to the same account. I am not sure how that happened but it's solved now. If you go with ForexVPS, it's important that you connect using the remote desktop /admin switch (Win 7, XP SP > 2) or the older /console switch (Win XP SP 2, Mac, Linux). In effect, attaching directly to the system console. If you don't, you will end up logging on to the wrong account which will cause problems. You can avoid this by always using a shortcut to connect to the VPS. I can give you complete details if you need.

You will find Alpari quick to open new accounts (unless they have an issue with your documents) and get deposits into your account.

No,

If you read item 12 carefully in the Personal Trading Acount Application Form, residents of Canada require a copy of your passport (I did the entire front cover and page 2-3, colour is good, make sure it's not too dark) and a utility bill (I scanned my electrical bill) or bank statement or credit card statement (colour is good here too).

The only time you need certified copies is when you reside in a country other than one in the list near the top of item 12.

I hope this is clear now. Check the pdf before emailing it. Make sure you can read it and the images came out ok.

Yep,

I learned my lesson about manually closing EA trades a long time ago. Bottom line is: if you cannot trade manually and do a better job than the EA then don't touch the trades.

All trades in the basket that opened on Jun 22 have now closed. My return on this basket of trades was 9.59%. Since Jun 6th, when I started running Genial Invest, the EA has had a gross return of 64.4%. True, I will have to pay 30% of that back to the EA developer but that is still a net return of 45.08% in 3 weeks and 1 day.

Needless to say, I am one happy camper
