since hacked works well on alparis uk feed i was thinking about copying it over from them.

you having a live account with them must make the difference. for now i have set it up with alpari nz and will most likely copy it over from them.

current market conditions are ideal for hacked, small daily ranges, with reversals all perfect.

Actually,

The daily range is too small. This has been the worst month on record for Hacked (so far) since I started last May

Default New to Pipcop and FH

Hi Rick,

I am new to Forex, trying to learn it and paying someone $1000 just to teach me.. But I am also interested if I can make money by just running expert advisor with less work from my side.
I know you have posted results and there are mixed reviews but rather than going 34 pages I thought I will ask you directly

"Being New to Forex, you think I can use this Forex Hacked and start my account with $2000 and then build up on that?" I have a regular job (which is at risk as well) that's why I am looking at this directing.. Let me know please?

I will appreciate your any extra feedback or suggestions. Thanks

Hi and Welcome,

Well, you could do the same thing I just did which is to put 2K on Hacked and pray. For you, I could not recommend it for two big reasons: 1. you have no experience with Forex Hacked, 2. you might get away with this for a short period but in the longer term, the account will blow.

A better approach (but less profitable and more stable) is to put that 2K into a nano account (where 0.01 lot is $100 and 1 pip is one cent). There are a few brokers who provide accounts of this size but I have to say that it is difficult to find a reputable broker who offers this account size. Forex FBI swears by FX Open and others here have used InstaForex.

IMHO, it's worth waiting until you have at least 5K that way, you can get a good broker .

Rick

Thanks Rick.. I will do as you suggested.. but one question.... The person who's teaching me is recommending me to use VT Trader and no MT4.. according to him its more flexible.. now i am not sure but my question is if lets say I open my account with FXCM of $3000 then can i use both VT trader and MT4 platforms or not?

In my experience trading Forex, VTTrader is more flexible but the last time I used in in 2007, it had two what I would call severe technical issues: 1. the loss of connection it would only attempt to connect re-connect once and then give up; 2. it could only open or close a trade at the open (or was it close) of a bar.

For me, moving to MT4 gave me connection resilience which is orders of magnitude better than VTTrader.

Anyway, to answer your question. I don't know. That is a question for your broker to answer. I do know that there are a number of brokers that support both MT4 and VTTrader. Whether you can do them both at the same time, I don't know but somehow (based on experience), I doubt it.

I have to take that back. It seems that a few pips in opening price can make the difference between a burnt account and a flourishing one. In this case my demo has already dumped the buy trade basket today, yours is still waiting for retracement. In the hypothetical event that the pound would drop another 200 pips (which it won't), some accounts could get into serious trouble.
I do not believe that there is a good or bad demo here. It seems a matter of luck if the market retraces up to your particular point of "relief". There is no way of knowing this in advance. Today was a good example for me of how luck is a part of trading with this robot (unfortunately).

I hate to say this but,

I don't know what governs this EA. I have tried various ideas and tried to prove it and nothing pans out.

All I know is that the demo I have is doing really good (and so is my live account) and these issues are part of why I decided on using a copier of my demo account on my live/real money account.

Rick
Previously while trading with FH I noticed that sometimes the trades were closed on the slave sooner than on the master. I was thinking that maybe this master-slave approach is more stable than FH on a stand-alone account because you have two price feeds protecting you: the first one from the broker where the slave is running, the second from the alpari demo's smoothed out price feed. So the chance of hitting a TP /SL level is twice as big. Does that make any sense to you?
