Dan,

You are welcome. If you end up getting Forex Photon, just make sure you have a good broker

for scalping. It makes all the difference as you have seen. There is a section on the Forex Photon message board (you need to register to read anything) that discusses broker

performance.

I am also putting this EA on my live/real money account tomorrow and we will see how FF performs live verses demo with the same broker

This is a very underrated EA,

I guess people are waiting for either me or more people. You know how people respond in mass. Nothing much happens until a critical point

Just to let everyone know, they stopped doing the 60 day money back guarantee on August 26, 2010. It figures that 2 days before I decide to buy it they change the policy. Also, the price is now $199

My broker

tells me they are great for scalping. I guess I shouldn't expect them to tell me anything different

. I joined the message board to view the recommended brokers as you suggested but am waiting for administrative approval. With the broker

I am considering using it on they have .5 pip fixed on all but one of the pairs photon trades on and it is only 1 pip fixed for it. They do charge a 1 pip commission

for using the scalper but supposedly that is better for me because they fill the ea orders very fast with access to their Nostro server. I will do more research on the message board as soon as I get access because I agree with you that the broker

is key. Thanks.

P.S. I am excited that you will be going live with photon. I hope you have great results with it live as you have been having on demo. I think it did well in this notorious month of August. It should continue to pick up speed.

The broker

you are describing sounds like ATC, IamFX or OneCorp.

I have prepared myself for a significant drop in the performance of FF from a demo to a live/real money account. It's another consequence of running a scalper and the fact that all brokers sweeten demo accounts. I am hoping to do better than the FXOpen live account that Forex Photon has.

Your right, August was a difficult month. The smart scalpers like The Channel Scalper, just said no.

I'll post the complete weekly report as usual later today.

Photon did a reasonable job in it's first week. Rather weak however. Only 15.2 pips. Both The Channel Scalper and MegaDroid did a better job in terms of return on investment.

If you have been reading the comparisons I did between demo and live/real money account (in my trading journal), there is a big difference between the two.
