I just did the daily performance update in post #5.

A big loss last night with the GBPUSD scalping pair. Almost 3K lost and over 200 pips.

This puts the scalping strategy almost 1K in the red. Overall Primeval-EA is still profitable considering both the scalping and hedging strategies.

I just did the daily performance update in post #5.

I have been getting a lot of crashes of my MetaTrader demo account ever since I added all those Primeval-EA charts.

This morning I found that MetaTrader crashed over two hours before I was able to attend to it. Fortunately, this time, no harm (as far as I could tell) was done.

This is not a good indication of the stability of the MetaTrader/Primeval-EA combination.

Hey Bud

The prior gentlemen was very critical of Primeval. I am not representing to you that I know it all, but I have researched this EA and I am using it on a demo. It has shown great success so for with 39 straight winners. We are only using the basic setting as recommended and do not have the grid trading system on because it has the potential to destroy and account lickety split. It is making approx 100 pips a day with a TP of 10 and a SL of 17. Those are the correct numbers for a win, win, situation. But, we will see it's only the first week and it is not a live account.

Next,, in my research I have found no one that condemns this Robot. I have searched any claims this EA is a scam and can find no negatives. I respect a man called Bernard a lot, he operates a site called FXREPORTS and has been for doing it for a number of years. He also has 10,000 members and I can find no one that has any thing detrimental to say about him or his systems.. He is now just releasing a new EA, Enterprise. If you would like to look at one he released in Aug of 09 its shows $33,780.00 profit on a $5,000.00 live account. Impressive??

Anyway, I asked him about Primeval he stated that it was a copy of and older Robot but with some very find modifications. I respect and trust this man and if he likes the product then there has to be good in it.

The other man has made a good point in I to have found that 99999.9% of the Robots out there are crap and just rely on a few suckers for to succeed.

So, in closing, I think that your efforts are correct and believe in the long run you will succed. I will read your entries as they come up.

Hi Randie and Welcome,

Glad to made it here for a visit and thanks for the kind words.

I (mostly) agree with your comments. Primeval-EA seems to be a reasonable EA. My results thus far (since March 10th) on a demo account are mixed with some very good points and some bad.

Good:
1. Five of the eight scalping pairs are doing very well. Many of them have not had a loss at all.
2. The hedge strategy on GBPUSD is doing really good.

Bad:
1. The GBPUSD scalping pair has a very wide SL at more than 100 pips according to the Primeval-EA board. This scalping pair is not doing good at all.
2. I am also staying away from the grid pair but I now have an already admitted bias against grid-trading EA's.

In all the demo statements I have seen around, I am the only one that I have seen that is running the hedge pair.

Hey Rick

We have eliminated the GBP/USD from the beginning because you and customer Support at Primeval stated that it was not doing well. We are going to start the Hedging Program. What pairs in the Scalping program are working best for you? We will also keep you up to speed on our progress and settings. Right now we are only using default settings. All of our scalping pairs have done well. We had one trade we didn't like. Yesterday it took two trades at the same time for 2.5 lots each. The TP was 18 pips and the SL was 107. We felt the numbers were wrong. 5 to 1.

In my demo, the hedging strategy is the top performer right now. The scalping pairs overall are not doing that well because of the losing three. The performance breakdown of Primeval-EA by pips is in post #5 of this thread. All accounting stats are in my trading journal.

If I understood you correctly you are trading scalper with 10TP and 17SL.As far as I know this ea has only setting available to change SL , but not TP .How did you set up a take profit with 10 pips ?

We did not change any of the setting on the EA, all are set to default. We also eliminated GBP/USD. It shows a 10 pip TP but takes most of a lot of them at 5,6,7. Then it also varies the lots so a lot of the time it will have 2 to 3 lots and takes 8 or 9 pip profit, times 2 or 3=18 pips-27 pips.

Best performing scalping pair to date GBPCHF. Worst performing scalping pair GBPUSD.

Top three scalping pairs in order of pip performance: GBPCHF, EURUSD and USDCAD. Each of these has had not one loss.
