This review is about the Cash Cruiser EA which I got from
here.
I have no affiliation with anyone in conjunction with this review.
I started trading this EA on a demo account on Feb 9, 2010. Cash Cruiser trades the USDCAD pair on an M5 chart. The EA trades using a grid method. However, unlike some grid trading EA's, it does not accumulate open trades while the DD increases. The maximum number of trades I have seen open at one time is two although I have not been using this EA long enough for this to be a definite maximum.
This EA has very few settings although the 1.3 version (see below for version information) has increased the number of settings. About the only thing you need to adjust is the magic number and the lot size.
This EA has no
money management
. You will need to decide what lot size to use. The author has issued repeated cautions not to over-trade this EA.
When you first purchase this EA, you are given version 1.0. You are then emailed version 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 in rapid succession (one a day).
Version Information
1.0 - no adjustable magic number, hard-coded to 1234567
1.1 - adjustable magic otherwise same as 1.0
1.2 - differences unknown
1.3 - stochastic entry filter added with adjustable values
2.0 - ability to trade other pairs
I am currently using version 1.3. Version 1.0-1.2 trades the most frequent. With the addition of the stochastic filter in version 1.3, the trading frequency is about cut in half.
I have only read about version 2.0. I have not been given this version as yet. I have read that version 2.0 does not trade for some people on certain brokers.
