I myself am looking to complement Megadroid with another robot as it can be quite a long wait before a trade happens although I've been very happy with Megadroid's profitable performance.
You are very welcome,

The Channel Scalper is a lot like MegaDroid in that it does not trade that often and goes for even smaller pips (4). All the attempts I have seen to make it trade more often have ended up with much more losses.

Nope,

Remember the old saying spring ahead, fall back so the clock changes back one hour in the fall.

Default tradesperbar option in setting

Hello,

What do "tradesperbar" mean in setting?

I noted that a trade never occurs alone, but there was a grid ( burst ) of
15-18 trades quite at the same time. How to set that?

By mistake I put TCS on a eur.chf 5mn chart and it works!
I wanted to see closer and i noted that the texture of the curve of
this currency pairs is fairly close to the eur.gbp one.

the same parameters ( on the 2 currency pairs ) the gain is half
eur.gbp but there is another gain and it is a good thing to win 1.5 times.

I looked to several other currency pairs but only eur.chf seems to have
the same type of behavior ( intrinsec texture ) than eur.gpp.

regards

yes but a hour back means that from -4 we skip to -5 ( negative number )

in France in fall the skip is 2 to 1
in USA Est hour the skip is -4 to -5

tradesperbar is how many trades the EA can open per bar (a single bar on the chart). The Channel Scalper trades on an M5 chart which means each bar is 5 minutes.

A trade can open alone but usually does not. As per my setting file, no more than 3 trades should open at any one time. This is controlled by maxtrades along with maxlogtrades and maxshorttrades. All three of these are set to 3 in my set file.

Once you get The Channel Scalper trading EURCHF and you like the result, please post the set file here.

Hi Nicolas,

Your right . Looking at Toronto, Ontario time (ET) (same as New York) in this page. Click on the DST tab and summergmtshift is -4 and wintergmtshift is -5.

This is a very interesting EA! I give A+. Thank rsmereka for his detailed report.

Wondering it does both short and long even though other people say it goes only short . I'm trying version 1.13.

I just think this EA is great when it is ranging between 10-50 pips in slow price actions. That is why rsmereka recommend GMT20-22. I'm trying EU, too when it is ranging.

If you avoid trending you can achieve great results, I believe.

Happy trading

Hi forexgogo,

Could you give us the link to the 1.13 version?
I have subscribed at "trading system forex" and I downloaded the 1.11 version 3 days ago.
