My take from running EB-Turbo on live and demo accounts,
Firstly,
see my post #332 in my trading journal. There is a lot of information there.
I started trading EBT on a demo account Oct 16, 2009. I started trading EBT on my live account Nov 3, 2009.
EBT can trade EURUSD, GBPUSD, EURJPY and EURCHF on an M5 chart. During my preliminary investigation, I poured through backtest data with EBT trading all these pairs. I did not like the look of the GBPUSD, EURJPY and EURCHF backtests while the EURUSD long-term (at least four years) was perfect (IMHO) As a result, I am trading and recommend that you trade EBT only with EURUSD.
I had a big EBT loss on Fri Dec 4th, 2009 (NFP day) and as a result, I have modified my trading strategy to shutdown EBT prior to NFP day. That strategy worked well this month as today is NFP. The problem is that the non-farm payroll news may drive the market contrary to the indicators at the time. That is what happened last month and I got trapped.
With the exception of the NFP loss, EBT has won all of its trades in live and demo accounts.
On average EBT produces 150-200 pips per week. The low is about 70 and the high is over 300.
Most of the time EBT opens trades in triples sets about one to two minutes apart. The most trades I have seen at one time are two sets of three for six in total.
There is a risk variable which I started at 0.5 (which is what 4xproject.com is running EBT at). My current risk is 4.0 on my live account and 11.0 on my demo account. I am increasing my live account risk gradually (1.0 per two weeks). I plan to eventually run my live account at 11.0.
There has been one update to the EA since I purchased it. The current version is 1.1.
As far as support, I have had no issues but I have not really needed any support.
It is not an easy EA for newbie's. There are many ways to run it. After I realized this, I located a 'set' file that is geared to my trading style and that is the 'set' file I am using. I recommend that everyone purchasing EBT, also find a 'set' file that they are comfortable with. In
post #332 of my trading journal, I have attached the 'set' file I am using.
If you want something to drool over, take a look at
this backtest
which is very high risk but for some weird reason, the max lot size was capped at 10.
IMHO, EBT is more accurate than MegaDroid, trades more often, is not the target of brokers (since it trades anytime) and is not
spread
sensitive.
Note that I am relaying my personal experience with this EA. I have no vested interest in EBT (other than a massive profit from running it) and I am not an affiliate.
