Alot of trouble with their servers or something? Outages? Hopefully this is an isolated incident, but it's not cool to come back to your trading station and find those short notice "alerts" or updates you missed....
Give me another month or so. |

Bad news, though. Megadroid made a a bad trade, had to close it manually. If I didn't, it would have hit the stop loss, so the profit I made was wiped away tonight unfortunately.
Down 500 instead of up 500 like I was. |
Same trade across three different brokers. Still open, didnt hit stop and appears to be returning.
In this case the stop on Megadroid was 150 pips. This is the real risk in Megadroid. Everythings fine with a 42 pip stop out, but if you hit one of these it will hurt. |

| Same here. MD tried to catch a small bounce which proved a solid correction. When setting your risk level you need to look not at possible profits, but at the losses. Now I see, that RL 0.25 is a bit hard for me... I also did not close the trade manually, but I am not sure if this was a good idea... |

| MD Pro side note: I will stop trading the other pairs until the volatility subsides I watched spreads jumping so much that they exceeded typical profit target, it is extremely hard to hit a profit in such situations. |

| Well, this was a tough one, MD closed the trade with one pip loss... I risked 25 of my equity, so I think it should have waited at least for profit . OK, this time it proved that waiting makes sense -- the next time it may not be so... |

| Last nights Megadroid trade closed on its own with a 2 pip loss. Open long at 1.2404 closed at 1.2402. The trade closed at 9:54 on FXDD, 14:54, almost 3:00 am Eastern time, just as the European session began. Generally from what I have seen Megadroid goes for a 1 pip gain instead of a true breakeven when it encounters a bad trade, but in this case it closed its own trade for a slight loss. This is what I really like about Megadroid, it has some of the best automatic trade managment that I have seen in an EA, and this often makes the difference between being long term profitable or not. And yes, a large position size would have made an extremelly painful loss if it went to the stop. In my case my entire account is small enough that its totaly within my risk level. I wouldnt test EA's any other way, there are just too many unpredictable things that could happen. However, Megadroid has proved reliable enough to fund a larger account just for it.
If you are running a larger account you might consider using a fixed lot size initially and taking profits regularly untill you have removed all your initial risk capital and are just running on profits. |

| I reviewed this year's MD performance and it does not look too good. 2009, 2008 and others look stellar, but this year not so. I also checked MD Pro USDCHF -- unbelievably good performance up to this year... I wonder if MD (Pro) is curve fitted...
Also at some point the test with MM does not make sense, because I just cannot imagine the brokers letting us playing with 50 or more lots... You can quite easily scalp with 1 lot, but 50+ lots may not be so easy to handle.

Last night was a very good case in point . My MD trade went on for hours. As one point , I was about $350 in the red and I was figuring I was cooked. Well this morning I was very surprised when I looked at my live account and that trade closed at 0.8 pip profit, 8:45 elapsed time.
