| @anyone scared of losing money: Put megadroid on a forward test, put the risk at 50% and let it go for a month.
I have seen a forward test gooing from $350 to over $5000 in a month. 50% risk.
I've not been live long enough to make the same statement, but the first few weeks live where very satisfying. But this ea seems very spread -dependant.
Please read http://www.fxfisherman.com/forums/fo...ally-work.html.
After that you might want to see http://www.100forexbrokers.com/mt4forexbrokers
Be carefull though, and check the newsgroups before you transfer real money. pfgfx cost me a lot of money and there are more like them. |

| hey pipbuster, what risk settings you use? Some of us noticed we have to reset things to chart 'cause EA will stick doing no trades, did you have to keep monitoring while on your vacation? What % is that re: profit gain (ooops, this givres away your equity, tee-hee)

jb | 5% risk (0.05) - the default value. I did not monitor the EA's performance during my vacation - you don't need to do so if you run it off a decent VPS (virtual private server) like forexvps.com (for what matters, there are tons of others that might be even better, it's just the one I'm sticking to). As for the profit gains %, I'm not all that good at math - just click on the links to my account statements in my previous post and do the figures whenever you have time for it. If you have more questions, feel free to ask. |

| Pipbuster,
Regarding a post you made a while back:
"In the meantime, I also decided to give it a try with an ECN broker - brokers of this type charge comission for every trade yet do not manipulate the market data and thereby do not trade against you. My live results are available at http://apatc50.mt4stats.com/ (5% risk, default settings). The broker 's name is ATC."
I must say this is very interesting. You're saying that this is a live $50K account that you have had opened for nearly 2 months and it looks like you have made over $5K profit, which is in line, percentage wise, with my (smaller) live account. But you are also indicating that you are using a 5% risk. Just so we're on the same page.... on the setup it asks for risk factor and I am using a .4 risk factor. Are you saying you are using 5.0 risk factor? My guess is that you are using a .5 because if you were using 5.0 then your profits on $50K would be a lot more than they are now. Vogelezang is suggesting 50% risk, which would be entered as 5. I believe. By the way, Vogelezang, thanks so much for those references, although the one page is from 2006, and it would be good to read something more current, but that one was very informative. Comparing Pipbusters live action with mine, and his being on an ECN acct, there is not much difference (last week we both had only one trade) except that some days he took two trades to my one, which is something!
This Megadroid seems to have some fairly large possibilities.

jb | Most people are on DEFAULT Settings..
I have seen a lot of profitable statements and all of them are based on DEFAULT settings.
There aren't many parameters you could set to make a different...they are more of money management settings |

Laren | With Megadroid 5% = 0.05. They suggest 0.1 - 0.2 (10% to 20%) in the manual. I'm using 0.3 (30%) |

| I was running a demo account with IBFX and had 26% return in 2 weeks, really great. Then I opened a Live account 2 weeks ago and have had No trades at all. Has anyone had the same problem?
Secondly, I read somewhere on this thread that someone said there Robot was sticking... do you mean where the time hangs and sticks then corrects itself... does anyone know what the problem is with that?
Thanks |

| | Pip Chief of Police and Site Owner | Are you guys using the latest version? If you are on the old version it won't place any trades. Restart MT to see if it pops up the update notice. |
