| This was not a spike. AFAIK, SNB is "defending" line of sand at 1.50. So definitely there was another intervention of the Swiss bank today. I will start worrying when the pair goes lower than 1.50. |

Is it the time to say goodbye to FXDD? | I got this email as well and what an unpleasant surprise. Of course they switched it over at a point when I had a fairly large DD, so I closed my account with very little profit.
What brokers are people trading this on? I have $4k to start my account with. |

You can try Non-US brokers..I am currently using IBFX and they allow leverage of 200:1 |

Is it the time to say goodbye to FXDD? | I got an e-mail form the robominer and GT developers, they are saying that their bots will work fine on FXDD but of course, is not longer the prefered broker . They say that they recommend you to switch brokers asap.
On the other hand, the forex-robots.com guys answered me and told me that they will seriously consider adding the robominer to their live testing accounts.

So you've lost almost 10K or 30% of your deposit in the course of over 4 months. It indeed looks just like buy-and-hold-and-hope stock investing. Quote:

If you are absolutely certain that it will recover, because it has worked out in the past, then you are deluding yourself. History doesn't always repeat. If it eventually does recover on this occasion, you will then gain false confidence, which can be dangerous, e.g. you may outlay more capital. It's similar to Martingale systems. You simply do not know when it will blow up, but the probability of blow-up is not zero. You can only hope that it will not blow up while you are heavily invested.
I did use Robominer before and made profits, but I was lucky enough to stop it when I was ahead. I will not use it again as I don't like these open losing trades of which you have no idea of how long it will be until they will close, or if they ever will close.

| didnt actualy lose 30% in 4 months. started trading robominer in january with 20k starting balance on fxdd. moved my account to forex.com uk in july when i was up 11k.
now sitting with 35k. ur right , equity is around 21k but its something i expect. nothing out of the ordinary for i have been in this position twice b4 and its just part of the trading strategy.
if u cannot live with the drawdown then this is definetly not ur cup of tea. its not to say it will never break the historical range but there are several ways to protect urself.
best way is to increase ur balance factor to around 3k or 4k, even so, u can clear around 30% anually. |

| | Pip Chief of Police and Site Owner | Well yesterday was very nice. I opened a small live account and started RoboMiner Pro on the 2nd. I happened to be running 4 instances of the robot with a 10 pip shift from each other, so I effectively had 4x the open trades. Then the AUD nosedived and I cashed in big. I made almost 30% return in just 8 days. Seeing as how it will probably move back up, I disabled 2 of the instances so now I have 2 running at a 20 pip shift from each other and 0.01 lots, which is still pretty risky. I also closed two open trades manually so I did get too much drawdown . I hope!
However, if you all were trading as well, I would expect you also made some good profits.
I've attached my statement below. |

My Robominer has closed five trades so far. All of them old trades. The last one, this morning dated from Nov 20. In the process, those of us that have been running Robo/Robo Pro/GT for a while have been given some relief from the high DD of late.
