Rick | because of the dip it did not close, could it be due to trade execution quality? |

| | Pip Chief of Police and Site Owner | Do you have AllowForSpread set to true? That might be a factor. |

| I don't know what trade execution quality is but is sounds like a blanket statement for any weird funkiness on the part of the broker . Quote: |
Do you have AllowForSpread set to true?
| Everything in my Robominer is default except for lots. I am not sure if AllowForSpread is true by default but it sounds like it should be.

I wonder why the EA author does not make it the default value -- this really makes difference (the trades closed 8-10 pips lower than they could with this option on).
BTW, the recent days provide quite nice volatility . |

| | Pip Chief of Police and Site Owner | AllowForSpread is set to true on the latest version. If you are not on 2.17 you should download the upgraded version here.
Also, as always, it is important to read the manual, check the settings, run on a demo account first, and once you are happy with the results then go live. |

It's good that such an oversight cost only smaller profits in GT |

| That's right. RM/GT may distort one's "normal" FX trading instincts -- it makes you drawdown tolerant and even perversely make you glad when the price goes in the opposite direction, because you assume that you will cash on it when it bounces back to the midrange. This makes sense even in non RM currency pairs -- but only if you have very conservative settings so when the price goes ballistic against you, you still do not touch margin call . |

| Sorry if this has been covered earlier in this thread (I skimmed through the previous posts so may have missed it), but why are there trades that have been closed for losses as reflected in the Aug and Sep 2009 statements? I thought that RoboMiner never closes trades for losses but rather waits until those prices are passed sometime in the future so that those trades can be closed for profits. |

Pipcop's copies are running with FIFO parameter set to true. Which means that the EA closes trades when they reach a predefined Equity Percent (by default it's 101,5). Then all the trades are closed, but the expert ensures that the sum of the closed trades is profitable. Without this contraption RM would not be able to trade profitably in NFA regulated environment at all.
