| Robominer expected returns This is my first post to the forum, so hello everyone.
I've been running Robominer on demo for the past 3 weeks using the settings suggested by Jerry. The starting balance was $15,000, and the only change I made to the defaults was to put in a Balance Factor of 4,000. The lot sizes are 0.03 per trade
During the first 3 weeks the account has made on average slightly more than 0.2% a week. Translated to monthly results, you would be looking at about 0.9%. To get about 4% a month, I would probably being using 0.13 lots, which would probably be too risky.
Any thoughts? |

| | Pip Chief of Police and Site Owner | Hi Tet,
If I were you, I would set the balance factor and lots to 0 to allow RM to auto-calculate the lots. The balance factor of 4000 is conservative. Jerry actually just made a comment about that here: http://www.gtshadow.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51
However, the balanceFactor and lot size is a personal decision, and your settings indicate "high safety" which is perfectly fine. 1% per month (roughly) comes out to about 12% per year, which is pretty good for many investments. I think you could set it smaller manually, but personally I am sold on the auto setting.
Of course, the market will dictate how much you make as well. Depending on when you start, you may make more or less. Had you started a few weeks ago, you could have hit the upswing and would be making good profits on the way down. I think that RM is great long term, and 3 weeks is kind of hard to judge overall. |

| can you please explain these number the live quick stats are freakin confusing.
How much did you start in each of these accounts???
for example robominer live says $200 dollar acount, yet in equity it says $5,831, what does that mean??? its worth 5k now? please clarify.
The same goes for gt shadow, for example the one on fx pro, i see it made around 5k, but how much was the initial investment???
and are the gt shodow accounts live or demos?
thanks |

| I was looking around for some comparative Robominer statements and found one here. Anybody have an idea why these guys have lots of losing trades. I thought Robominer was a no loss EA and in my experience, this has been true.
Any ideas?

| | Pip Chief of Police and Site Owner | I would bet:
1. They are using an old version of the robot and have not upgraded
2. As such, they are getting nailed with FIFO because they are on Alpari US.
3. If they are on the new one, they have FIFO = false which is a mistake.
My only losing trades were when I did not upgrade to the new version and let FIFO bite me. |

| I second PipCop.
Also they definitely are running too high risk on AUD/NZD.
It's interesting to see what FIFO rule can do to Robominer... |

| Thanks for the answers,
I knew that they were running Robo too hot and also there is a major difference in the lot size between AUDNZD and EURCHF. I wonder what kind of settings produce that result?
It's weird because the comments say they are using the stock settings.

| Hi only20gp,
You definitely seem serious about Robominer. :-)
I also think that this EA is worth investing good amount of money. I am on the verge of showing my own results starting from the end of March. |
