I also do not like that the AUD/NZD F/X rate surges back to the upper range , but on the other hand... what's goes up must go down and you will reap your harvest then. So let's look at it as half full glass, not half empty

Remember one thing - I'm running the live robot on a tiny account, so the returns are not like they would be on a larger ($2k - $5k) account.

Too early to scrap I think. After 5mths I'm $250 up after deducting DD. I just treat it as a hobby, fasinates me to see it closing trades every day, I'll wait a year or two to see what happens

Jerry's claiming at least 6% a month. I wonder if the settings are off.

Don't be fooled by Balance, the only one that counts is Equity. I traded a very similar system last summer, my Balance was growing by leaps and bounds, but my Equity was shrinking day by day. I nearly quit my day job, traded the system on three accounts until the day when the gbpjpy did not come up after it had gone down and I took a hefty loss.
If I would not have done that, I would have lost all. In currency trading it's just a myth, that what has gone up, must come down, and vice versa. Currencies don't have to do anything. Study currency charts over many years, and you will see that.

peter you are correct
at times the currencys will drift sideways
but the rule that what goes up must come down or vice versa
does seem to work a large % of the time especially lately
cheers

It seems that if one uses the recommended balance factor of 2000 - 6% is not feasible at all. It is possible if 1250 is used for AUD/NZD...

Hi All,
I just started goldminer on a demo at FXDDExtreme...no matter what I chose in the demo setup it gave me an account of 50,000USD.
No matter. I setup goldminer with all defaults as per the manual on AUDNZD and EURCHF.

My question is regarding the size of the lots - I know that 50K is a sizeable account start, but it opened up an order on each pair of 1.0 lots. Does that sound right, or should I be entering in a balance factor?

That sounds like the right lot size. However, you should set the balance factor to "50000.00" to be safe. You can change it if you want, but beware of over leveraging yourself.

Also, you should be able to specify a smaller account starting size. Just click into the balance box and type whatever you want.
