Does Robominer vary the TP value?

Maree43,

I use the same company as you. Do you know of any/many that have been banned from using RoboMiner with that company yet?

Besides, at 400:1 it's much more risky. Good luck though !

Is it more risky? Wouldn't it be less risky since you are making same profits (based on lot size) but using less margin , so less chance of margin call if things go bad?

I honestly don't know. I have been too busy keeping things running and have not monitored the trades any robot places, let alone RM. You'll have to help us out!

From what I can tell the TP profit is very close for all the trades. For some reason the setting of the TP does occasionally slightly vary. On the live statement in this thread using the current version of RM the trades that are closed are equal to the TP . If you look at the other thread using the earlier version of RM the closed trades are about 12-14 pips different than the shown TP . I am still trying to figure out the reason for the change. I heard that some robots try to confuse the broker so they will have a harder time avoiding your TP . I guess if the robot is turned off the trade would close at the TP plus or minus any slippage .

No cogs - I haven't heard of anyone being banned but I don't think they would actually ban individuals - they have been known to ban certain ea's though.

RM is keeping a nice low profile which is good

Just a thought. As I mentioned before, I am running a demo account which continues to pull a few points profit, but still has a reasonably large (though not worrying) DD. Would now be a good time to start a live account, as there would be no initial DD, but (hopefully) plenty of profits as (hopefully not if!) the markets re-centres?

BTW slightly off topic - can anyone recommend a good VPS provider? BY 'good' I mean competitively priced but still providing a cast iron reliable service.
(Plus any instructions on how to set up Meta Trader on a VPS)
Pipcop, do you have any threads relating to this?

Default VPS Alternatives

As an easy VPS alternative I purchased a second hand PC (box only) loaded my MT4 platform as per my own PC loaded the robot and it sits and runs continuously 24/7.

Meanwhile when I am at my day job I simply log into the same MT4 account (without robot loaded) and check the trades, if I want to change any settings I simply use Teamviewer and log into my home PC and change settings, although I have not seen any reason to change the settings as yet.

I have noticed that you need to still apply personal patience with this robot as you would normal trading without a robot. It appears many start using this robot and think they will get rich quick, there is no such thing. So far from what I have experienced this robot works well and I am only trading .01 lots set on automatic.

I do hope the developers are working on being able to trade additional currencies. The AUD/USD would be awsome.
