I was chatted by Skype with KB yesterday and he confirmed that:
1. 400:1 leverage is minimum that he suggests
2. He used 5000:1 risk setting (which seems quite conservative)
3. He never trades around major events (like NFP)
I do not know I guess KB does not have time for the thread because he's busy counting his profits
