Yes, Megadroid checks the version number of the EA you are running against the server and if there is a newer version, a message appears that tells you your copy of MegaDroid has expired.
The Windows time on the computer running MegaDroid is not important. It can be wrong. MegaDroid, like most EA, get it's time not from Windows but your broker's server time (shown in the
market watch window).
