Hi everyone,
Its been about 4 months since I bought my GT-Shadow license so I thought I would give you an update:
I started trading just EURCHF because of the low spread but quickly found it doesn't get many trades because its mostly sluggish.
After a month I started AUDNZD as well and found it to be a much more lively pair (hence far more profitable.) This is despite the huge 20pip spread on Alpari. I started heavily weighting this pair in preference to EURCHF (am now trading the upper 22 ranges at 0.1 lots)
I briefly tried EURCHF on a 20pip grid with mixed results: many more trades but for much less profit. Eventually I went back to the old 40pip grid.
Recently I've introduced the EURGBP in a 50pip 'reverse order' grid between 0.8400 and 0.9400 which seems to be doing OK.
Overall I think GT-shadow is an excellent, powerful trading tool which is capable of achieving good long-term results. The secret to using it is to understand how to calculate risk and not become over-confident.
Take a look at my stats for the last 3 months (mostly GTS with some MD / FAPT). The initial deposit was £4000 back at the start of the year. Maximum drawdown so far has been 15%.
Good trading to all.
P.S. I still havn't worked out how to use the 'shadow' function!
