You are right. All of those systems are based on the assumption that price will move within a relatively narrow range. This range is determined by a few years, since the start of the OTC Forex market, as we know it. But if you look at those currency pairs over 30 to 50 years, this 'Maximum range' is just a temporary sideways market. I.ve been there. Anything can happen and usually will.
