While, in theory, that is a good plan, in reality, it does not work (IMHO). I started a demo with the minimum recommend by the author (3K) and the account blew in a week due to exhausted free margin.
I restarted another demo with 5K and it ran much smoother.
This EA needs a lot of seed money in the beginning until it finds it's niche. You are correct, the startup period of this EA is the most critical and it depends on the initial deposit and the market (whether it is in a solid trend). Right now, the EURUSD is ranging, not trending so the start up of this EA might be shaky.
I recently changed brokers and re-started a demo with my new broker yesterday. Everything was going smoothly until the bull news spike in the last hour and then the drawdown hit. At least this EA has not decided on the trend (Trade Buy or Trade Sell) which is good. It knows that it is in a ranging market.
