Demo vs. Live is not the question. All things being equal, its WHICH Broker does best with the EA, IF the EA makes any money, etc. Some brokers' environments just won't support scalping. That is likely to come out in a demo test -- but only 1 between the 2. my live accounts are run in parallel with the same demos and the spread stuff effects the profit potential and if the trades should be taken. When a trade is triggered on LIVE, its there in demo. but demo may take more trades than live and the potential for success or failure is there. In any case, this test here would show which brokerage is most amenable to this robot; the best one vs the worst one here is more than likely to parallel Live accounts. What I do draw the line at, however, is backtests which I think would give you an idea how the robot would perform. Longer term robots here would work better than scalping robots. Get my drift?
